Just got my truck back after a 6 week stay where my STAR case determined I needed new battery, aux batt, and wiring harness. I guess they found a spot between dashboard and headlamp with a missing grounding nut.

Anyhow today is day 2 driving and I noticed My truck isn't doing the start stop. If I hit the disable s/s the button does light up, but the green button on the dash does not. I'm not complaining because I hate the s/s but I'm wondering if there is something wrong given the work done on it.

I'd be concerned about bigger issues!
They could have screwed up the harness install, or even the battery installs, and maybe blown a leg of the high current fuse.

I'd tell them to fix it (and if I hated ESS, I'd take care of that later - but make them make it right)

You don't really know what's messed up - and it might jump up and bite you later.
You can disable the thing later if you hate it, but make them make it right.

All Gladiators have this? I'll take a look, thanks!
Yeah, just scroll up or down until you hit it. Generally it doesn't say much...... But worth looking.
In any case, a vehicle is to be returned fully operational with batteries fully charged and so on. Your dealer failed

ESS page will say something. Perhaps battery charging or not ready. Either way, day 2 of driving doesn't say too much if it's a short drive. It is possible for it to work after a longer drive.

Didn't mean to quote you ShadowsPapa. Thought I was replying to the OP. I'm going blind.

It if says ready - that would be VERY interesting!

Yes, 2 days of short driving won't do anything much - and that circles me back to "the dealer should have installed fully charged batteries" - and if they didn't, that's a bad thing because their documentation states to reinstall the IBS on fully charged batteries.
So if it left their shop with the batteries low - they screwed up - they failed to follow the processes laid out by FCA for battery replacement.

So it says ESS not available heating and cooling. Dealership says because it's 95 out the system won't turn off the compressor. They also indicated there's no yellow warning light which would be a malfunction.

If you have it on max AC - yeah,
but if it's on auto and I set my temp to 70 and it's 95 out, once the cabin is cooled off it will indeed shut down.

If the dash says engine not warm, warm it up. If it says heating and cooling, turn off the hvac. If it says steering wheel turned, put the wheels straight. Just undo what it says the issue is. Battery charging message can be assisted with a battery charger. They should have been charged when you picked it up.

So you have learned that Max ac will not let the ESS shut the engine off. The ESS page will tell you a few useful things like that.
