Problem is no way to close 'em off with the ends on and after the rocks my truck has kicked up at me when the ends are off, I leave the ends on, now.
That's because of how the bumper pieces go together for the most part. The bumper back side doesn't sit in flush with the front outer edges - on the real MOPAR bumper or the knock-offs. It's a bumper issue more than anything. These don't even look nice imo... gaps all around. It's a great idea but I'm yet to see some that don't look like someone hacked up a piece of plastic to fit
You are 100% correct. I’ve tried these on two different factory steel bumpers. They do not seal well, and crack very easily, I cracked one on the first install trying to close the gaps. Then I decided to line x them but that didn’t help. The main problem lies with the fact that the welded tabs in the stubby (part of the bumper) that tie in the bolts, that hold the bumper extensions do not sit within the bumper therefore these plastic close outs cannot fit flush without bumper modification. These don't even look nice imo... gaps all around. Exactly , you nailed it while I was responding ?That's because of how the bumper pieces go together for the most part. The bumper back side doesn't sit in flush with the front outer edges - on the real MOPAR bumper or the knock-offs. It's a bumper issue more than anything.
I did this to close off and protect the fog lights with the ends still on. It's ugly but not noticeable if you have your ends on.Problem is no way to close 'em off with the ends on and after the rocks my truck has kicked up at me when the ends are off, I leave the ends on, now.
Are you driving in reverse??? I can not wrap my head around how the ft bumbper ends will help with that going forward.. I have been scratching my head for two days. LolThere's a forum member who makes them, too - at least he did a year or so ago.

Do you have an iphone with lidar scanner? You can practice scanning the bumper end and making a cover with 3d modeling software. Not trying to crap on anyone making these or anything and this looks like the easiest solution. To me it looks like it really needs to be a three dimensional piece and not just a flat square of plastic/metal. I want to get the aluminum knock off bumper and would need something like this, just wish there was a better solution. My son has a 3d printer but I have never messed around with one before.
