There just aren't many options for the location of a brake controller.
With my short legs, mounting one to the knee panel just wasn't going to work, and I couldn't see the display either..
I dreaded the thought of drilling holes into the plastic also..
So after a several hours of experimenting and fabrication, I came up with this mounting stalk.

I'm experimenting with a LockerDown double magnet to hold my Concealed Carry Weapon while driving (don't like the grip digging into the leather seat back while holstered).
Probably going to ditch the idea of the magnet, and fasten a more secure holster to the mounting stalk.

Curt makes a controller that is wireless and is controlled by your smart phone. It plugs into the 7 pin socket and your trailer 7 pin plugs into it. I bought one and it works fine , also you can switch vehicles with it!

Sounds like a very good option Bob.
I had taken this almost new, Tekonsha P3 out of the Wrangler that I had traded, and wanted to reuse it.

I love your avatar. That black Willys grill is sharp!

I screwed my p3 into the blank switch next to the bed cargo light button on the left side of the steering wheel. That way when I’m not towing there isn’t anything on the way, occasionally when towing my knee will hit getting in and out, but it was meant to be temporary till I switch to the redarc or mopar factory option for a more OEM fit.

In the process of installing the Redarc now. Install is very straight forward and customer service is amazing (I asked about water resistance and the guy really thought out the install for me.). I can already tell the differnce between this and my knee-buster in my Van is huge. The setup of this is so much nicer.

Getting a hole saw tomorrow to install the knob and will be done. Still trying to figure out exactly where to put it to minimize the risk of rain though, might end up under the steering wheel.
