I wonder if all of us with GCM LE on order complain enough that maybe we will be rewarded with something for our patience??? @JeepCares

You’re right! The LE stands for Late Edition! Ohmmmmm.... GCMLEJT OHMMMMMMM...I just did a search on AutoTrader and eBay for a Rubicon Gladiator just for grins and you know what I saw? A bunch of red, black, white and silver Rubi’s out there. How boring would JT life be if we all drove a red, black, white or silver JT? So go ahead and make the jump to one of these colors so you can wave at all the other look-a-likes and say “hey, I’m glad I didn’t wait for my GCLE so I could be like everyone else.” Whoopie! And one day before the next ice age I will be driving a rare albeit Late Edition Granite Chrystal Rubi and smiling as I wave to all the look-a-likes in our JT community. Don’t give up on GCLE.
FCA is just trying to teach us delayed gratification.
Damn I love that color! ;{![]()
Mine just arrived tonight. Officially pick it up in morning.
Welcome to the forum. You've said exactly the same thing that's been repeated time and time again here. Launch Edition rollout was a fiasco. Granite issues are a joke (especially seeing they've painted JKs and JLs in the same factory for years). After 4 months you'd think they could figure it out with the JT. So that's why I'm planning to keep the Granite Cherokee in the driveway and go with a Silver LE instead. Can actually enjoy it now rather than Christmas time.I have been waiting patiently since 4/4 Launch Date but am at the end of my rope. The entire launch was a mess, from emails that the launch was a fraud to a launch specialist who sounded like they were calling from their basement and couldn’t answer any questions. We live in New York where there are dozens of nearby dealers and when we were initially contacted we were assigned to one dealer. We asked to be assigned to our preferred dealer whom we had dealt with before. We were told that if we requested that we would have to restart the process and would go to the back of the line and we might not get the vehicle. We reluctantly agreed to stay with the assigned dealer (whereas we now know that we could have gone to ANY dealer without having even pre-registered). That dealer was useless from day one. Phone calls were not returned, documentation not forwarded. It took two days to get the order done.
We then waited patiently. Phone calls and emails to dealer were never returned. Finally the new Concierge service poked its head out of the gopher hole in May and we were told to expect a build in the next 30 days (to be fair she said no guarantee but she did say 30 days). We then went two months with the dealer not returning our communications. We then learned that the dealer salesperson (who was the General Manager of Sales) was no longer at the dealer but no one told us. We were assigned a new salesperson. He responded once but now has not responded to multiple attempts to contact him. So we finally re-contacted the Concierge last week. She was empathetic but could not offer anything other than the paints are not matching and there is no expected date for a remedy.
We have now missed the entire summer and this is to be a summer only second vehicle for us. But we can live with that. We will have this vehicle for 15 years and hopefully pass it on to our son (who is currently five). But the complete and utter lack of proactive customer service is mind boggling. A once a month proactive reach out (to an understandably passionate Jeep customer base) would have gone a long way. And for certain we are over paying. With hindsight, we would have waited until next April (again this is a summer only second vehicle for us) and received a substantial discount to MSRP. Not too worried about getting a LE for resale as hope to never resell.
Lastly, for the idiots at FCA, below is a photo of the solution to their problems. Take the three piece hard top from the Wrangler/Moab and put it on the Gladiator. You designed most of the parts to be interchangeable for cost/scale. Apparently, you can already paint them in the same color.

You realize that's because those are the colors they have been building for several months? Granite and Sting Gray are just starting to hit the lots. In time that will change. Granite is the most popular JL color making up 20% of all Jeeps sold, and based on our tracking the most popular LE color too with about 28-30% choosing Granite (https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...more-yet-to-be-built.18346/page-2#post-278430). Just listed my Grand Cherokee for sale, and while looking at AutoTrader and Craigslist saw far more Granites than any other color. While the Gladiator looks sharp in Granite, it's far from a rare color. Gonna need to pick Punk'N, Hydro Blue, Gator or Gobi if you are looking for a rare color.I just did a search on AutoTrader and eBay for a Rubicon Gladiator just for grins and you know what I saw? Appreciate the history lesson in the Jeep coloring book and glad you have the time to do the research. Appreciate it. I’m sticking it out. Sorry to hear you are bailing.
