First Jeep Wave

Well most of the JT owner's around me don't wave... Status symbol JT/ JKU /JLU owners don't, in last week and half the dealership I got mine at has sold 11 JT's they had about 20 or so. Most Overland model's some people around here wave probably over half of other Jeep's owners do. On way in to work tonight I seen 4 JT's none waved.

I’ve seen some people break down how to wave and that the lesser modded Jeep should wave first and that there are official waves. Which all may have been true, may be true or may never have been true.

I wave at all the wrangler models and all the gladiators, my favorite wave is hand out the side, like where a door would be on one of those awful cars that makes you have a door on warm days. Not sure if that is an “official” wave but it seems to be recognized.

This is my first Jeep and just brings a huge smile to my face every time I drive it, so you can find me waving.

Hmmm, I haven't heard about that. I usually wave to all Wranglers & Gladiators... But if that is true... Then given the fact that I've only seen 100% stock un-modded JT's around here, then I must be" king ding-a-ling" in my neck of the woods...

Hmmm, I haven't heard about that. I usually wave to all Wranglers & Gladiators... But if that is true... Then given the fact that I've only seen factory on-modded JT's around here, then I must be" king ding-a-ling" in my neck of the woods...

I feel the same way around my parts and I'm not even that modded yet

Went out and drove around all Saturday doors off and roof open, there were a ton of Jeeps and a lot that didn’t wave, a lot that did wave.

But there were two badass Jeeps that went to extra efforts to wave. One was a new JL Rubicon who made lane changes, got closer to wave, was at the very start of my day. And another was an old dude looking kind of Santa-ish in an older CJ5 who caught my Jeep while I was a few cars back in an intersection and got the wave in. So like I wave for those dudes.

There were certainly way more people in stock Jeeps all windows and doors locked on a perfect day, not even noticing any other cars on the road, but maybe the were FaceTime waving with other Jeeps.

I remember my first waves with my wrangler it was awesome. I've seen about the same wave reply with the JT so far, although I do get super excited when I see another as its pretty rare around me yet.

And yeah, waving at Jeeps when I would drive my parent's car or something was super awkward...

I try to wave at all the Jeeps I see, but down here is South Florida, Jeeps are a unique soccer mom status symbol, and most Jeep owners seem to be admiring their new manicure on their Facebook feed than paying attention to the road.
