Your instructions are online in the form of a 4 minute video, right? Or am I missing something?

Agreed. Completely ridiculous that they are cheaper on Quadratec than with the group buy. I haven't installed mine yet, but not looking forward to it based on previous comments. I'm hoping Quadratec actually does an install video. I'm sure it would be much better than the 4 minute nonsense from the Oracle website.
FYI- Do yourself a favor and make sure you get fish sticks if you don’t have them. Also my advice is to fish an extra wire through the passenger side grommet to use if you ever need to run anything again. I ran one after installing an amp power cable and this time I just taped the wire to my spare and pulled it right through.

Hi all, thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding the install and the groupbuy. I can understand the frustration, and we will be reviewing all of your comments as a team to find a solution for the future. (We do have a video resource as well as written instructions; both are linked on the product page for your reference. You can also call us if you need additional help in the meantime.)

As this is a new product, we appreciate the feedback and understanding. Updates will be communicated to you, and please feel free to call or PM us if we can help before then.

i agree with everyone’s comments. i was on the group buy also. we should have been offered free shipping too.

for the rivet replacements i used the $17 hand rivet kit from harbor freight

https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-riveter-with-40-industrial-strength-poly-rivets-97757.html

as for getting through the firewall on my auto rubicon, it’s easy on the driver’s side. just pull out the grommet and you’re in. i didn’t even try on the passenger’s side since it looked liked a pain in the ass. i even bought harbor freight fish rods but decided it wasn’t worth all the effort. instead i extended the white wire from the passenger’s side and spliced it into the white wire on the driver’s side. i had extra wire from another auxiliary light installation. the white wire on the driver’s side is just longer enough.

FYI: When using Fish Sticks on the Passenger side...
A. Be careful, there are other wires in the grommet
B. Push from the inside and when your through it will hit the plastic box that is right under the battery.

Edit: I like saying fish sticks lol

Agreed if you are going to be doing any other mods to your Gladiator a set of fish sticks will be a handy item to add to the tool box. :like:

Very cool product, nicely done!

Side question - what is the spec of the wheel/tire setup you have on the Gladiator? Looks like Fuel Shok perhaps, but wondering the size/offset/backspacing/tire size. The stance looks perfect without too much tire outside the fender. Thanks!
Did you ever get an answer to this? I'd love to know the same. Love the Bronze rims.

Anyone having issues with the adhesive? I installed my 3 weeks ago and just noticed the adhesive strip along the top of the driver side light is pulling away from the jeep and the actual light. Starting to look bad...

Mine started doing that the first day I put mine on. I figured out that there's a very small degree of flexibility of where you can place these. My passenger side I must have gotten spot on, the driver's side must be off by a few millimeters, and is pulling on the adhesive. It's gapped a little, but hasn't become completely separated from the fender.

I had an issue on the first side I did. I lined up the Sidetrack with the vent. Then realized the top edge of the Sidetrack was not sitting flush with the side panel and was already pulling away. After a heat gun and some additional 3M automotive tape, all was good. I removed the Sidetrack and alined the Sidetrack with the top of the indent on the side panel. Cheers!

This is when Oracle only giving us the precise amount of wire really sucks. Thinking about having to disconnect the lights to put new 3M tape on.

I have to agree. There was two of us doing install, so it was easier to use the heat gun and replace the tape with out pulling the whole unit out and the wiring.

For anyone installing for the first time, I bought extra Christmas tree plugs for the inner fenders as most got destroyed pulling them out. I also bought extra wire, extra wire taps and some looms. I used the extra wire to connect the footwell leads before I went thur the firewall. Thus, I only had to go thru the firewall once on the drivers side which seemed easier than the passengers side. The wire taps provided by Oracle weren't great and they only included exactly what you needed. Glad I had the extra taps as I had to replace two of them. I also used the looms to cover / protect the wire in the engine compartment. For the price of the kit, it would not have hurt it the wires were a bit longer and a few extra taps had been included. A warning about the Christmas tree plugs would also have been a nice heads up in the install instructions.

For anyone reading this from Oracle, I too was a disappointed in the group buy price on the forum. Learning after the fact, you could by the product cheaper elsewhere.. so much for the group buy deal! Cheers!

Do you have links to the items you picked up to have extra on hand for this install? Thx in advance.

In order to access the wire to tap into the turn signal you have to remove the inner fender. On the JTR there are 3 bolts and 6 or 7 Christmas tree plugs on each side. A few got destroyed taking them out. Some claim you can do the install with only removing a few.. but it make it a bit harder. Just in case the Christmas tree plug is a local term / Canadian thing.. this is what they look like.. Cheers!

On the JLR there is just one each side and yep they break easy and are very expensive if you buy the Mopar one and cheap if generic. I pulled the fenders off to install my version of the Sidetrack instead of pulling the liner and popping out the rivets and buying them and the rivet tool. Mine totaled $25 for turn signal and rock/courtesy lights plus I installed parking lights in the fender vent.
