Gotcha, one other thing to consider is that 2 of my vehicles are north of $100K. My Gladiator is the cheapest of the bunch. I’m also sure that insurance rates in NC are higher than Iowa.
Yeah, it really gets me when people want to compare rates.
Location location location, state laws and rules (such as by the Iowa Insurance Commission) and more. You just can't really compare.
I saw what you owned in your profile on the side (I use a browser, not the phone) and figured - meh, my cars are DIRT CHEAP compared to those!
Our Wrangler is the most expensive vehicle we've ever owned and it's south of 100K.
It's the same for costs of repairs, what your individual policies have laid out, any riders or options and so on. We've been with the same company since 1983, bundle everything, including a couple of tiny retirement accounts. It all matters.

Thanks everyone, I decide no to think about it's history just simply enjoy the fun. I will start modified it soon probably will start with the tire, the stock tire just looks silly.
In my experience, rentals end up being pretty good used cars. They’re maintained quite well.

When I worked for Alamo back around 2000, we had a Chevy Malibu that didn't get it's first oil change until 30k miles. 😆

I don't think a Jeep can go that long.

I guess I’m happy I don’t rent from Alamo. :)

Back in 2006, flew into Philadelphia Airport and picked up a Enterprise rental that was a Jeep Liberty. Oil change reminder was on and reported it. The attendant came out and reset the oil change reminder and sent me on my way with it.

I felt bad and bought a can of false hope (STP Oil Treatment) and threw that in while I had the rental for the week.

Jeez. I love hertz, but I’m sure those stories are coming momentarily.

Another Alamo story...

I took a Dodge Intrepid in for service for a check engine light. The service advisor told me the light came on in 2nd gear at 90 mph.
Wasn’t that the first clutch less manual? My parents had one a million years ago. It was very easy to hit some serious rpms.
