Oh I totally get you and think you are completely correct. I shouldn't "have to" do things like this. Only reason I am ok with it/didn't say much originally was that I was planning on doing it anyway.

My post was what I believe is the easiest AND best solution. I never had great luck with plastic inner fenders with any vehicle.
Yeah - I totally get that - and those aluminum fender liners are sweet!

So after reading this, I have to ask what model are people driving, and are these all aftermarket tires?
Any model should be able to handle a tire resize/change, but I am wondering if any variables are a constant?

Ya know there's a TSB for the fender liners ("Splash shields") rubbing tires under certain conditions.....Rubicon only according to the TSB.
Is that what this is about?

Just got my front fender liners replaced under warranty. So much of my old ones were gone so I don't really recall if these are any thicker. Going to look into if I need to add more push pins/zip ties to keep them from flapping.

I had mine replaced and within a week they were gone again. I went with an aftermarket inner liner. FCA stepped up and paid for them.

But sadly I am selling all of my FCA vehicles for reasons I cannot discuss on the forum.
