Flipkey Question

I’m new to the Gladiator (2023 Sport) but not to Jeep but I’m stumped on the flip key. Is it supposed to have teeth like a traditional key? Mine looks like a blank and doesn’t fit any of the doors, tailgate or the rear seats. I bought it used and I think the key fob may be an aftermarket product. Thoughts.

No, not like the older style keys, it should have a valley that is laser cut on each side.
But the edges are straight and smooth.

Your 2023 Sport should have come with two key FOB's and cut keys. Leaving the lot without two fully functioning FOB's means you are stuck for the cost. They are about $250 each, from the dealer. They have to be ordered using the VIN and take about two weeks to arrive.

I dropped one in the ocean this summer. A new FOB was $248 at the dealer and 1/2 hour labor to cut the blank and program the new FOB...that was just last month

One last question. What is the difference between Mopar part # 68384454AD and 68416786AE? When I google it I just get directed to sites to purchase. Just not sure which one I need. Thanks.

Maybe the remote start option? I have a 2023 Sport S w/ remote start and they ordered 68384454AD

If you're ordering through the dealer you don't really need to worry about the FOB part number. They will order what the system says you need based on the VIN. It will only be a problem if the previous owner added something like Remote Start after purchase.
