Am I the only one with a Barricade front bumper? I think I didn't do enough research before I replaced my plastic bumper with one.

thats a lot of exposed bolts and hard angles and lines for a truck that is quite smooth for a brick. While i would prefer more round edges on Jeep bumpers, most stubby or crawler bumpers are designed to take a serious hit and hold 10- 12k worth of load and multiple angles. A a thick plate of steel with hard angles achieves this a lot easier and cheaper than stamped sheet steel. personally i want a mopar steel stubby but i guarantee you that the winch plate underneath will be a unit. But I'm also not gonna cry when that bumper takes a hit and folds like paper, cus it simply isn't designed to. I'm still heavily considering the Savvy aluminum cus that hoop is a real hoop and will actually stop a deer from going through your windshield or radiator.
that’s the one I was referring to, the one I linked I just found. Still debating if half the cost is good enough.
I don’t plan to do any heavy off reading. Never gonna rock crawl. Dv8 makes some solid stuff. I’d much prefer the rounded version mopar makes…but are rounded edges worth 600$? Also, why did they choose shiny bolts lol

I would not want to cut the frame.
When this jeep is done the only thing remaining on the frame will be the little brake line tabs & front coil buckets. even those will be reinforced.

In a perfect world im with you on that position but a factory frame just isnt built for what im going to ask it to put up with lol.

That could was probably mine. I think artec posted it. It’s been snowy and rainy here in Park City so I haven’t taken any photos of it personally but my shop did when they did the install. I can take a few more photos once I get it cleaned up.

I forgot about Mob Moab. Can you share that info? If there’s still availability I’d consider signing up.

The Savvy bumper looks the most original if that’s such a thing for a bumper like this. It just looks right. They make nice stuff.

TBH these are all sick but I love both Savvy's. I'm considering one now. Do you happen to know if any of the options you showed can be fitted to keep the stock skid brackets and skid? I have a Mojave and I like my steel silver skid i need the bracket to hold my Remote Resi's.

savvy 2 can be made to work with the Mojave skid. its's gonna have a tiny gap but otherwise works

I don't like the stubby bumpers at all so I couldn't vote.

I laugh at the comments on how sturdy they are----the odds of getting hit or hitting something at that perfect angle in the very small footprint a stubby bumper provides is quite small. Almost anything you bump into is going to take out one of those very exposed front suspension setups.

That's why I installed a full width LoD bumper on my Mojave.

That said I will be the first to admit I'm not a diehard off-roader who requires the clearance and visibility. Obviously stubby are very popular for a reason. To each his own.
