I have a stock 23 Mojave that at some point I'd like to upgrade to a new bumper/winch. I like the ARB stubby or the Mopar one where you can convert to a stubby. The Jeep is already very tight in the garage with only about 2" of space before its up against the wall and the garage door closes. My concern is with an aftermarket bumper how much further out would it stick compared to the stock one? Anybody know offhand or knows of a bumper thats the same size or possibly smaller depth wise as the stock? Thanks!

The bumpers, and I've had three now lol, all mount to a flat plate on the front of the frame rails.

Unless you have a stinger or bull bar, they all stick out the same amount-ish. If anything the aftermarket ones are in a bit more than the molded whacky plastic stocker.

I stayed with the factory bumper, got a RockHard mounting plate for my winch. Fits just like before

Never thought of that route, thanks very much! What winch did you go with?
Great looking Jeep!

yes my aftermarket bumper also shaved off an inch or two from the overall length. I only know because I went from like 4" of clearance in the garage to about 6

Where you CAN gain some room/lose some length is on the rear bumper.

There are several out there for more clearance while rock bouncing. They sit higher, are tighter to the body, and don't have a recovery hook sticking straight out.

Quadratec Q9000 winch. Thanks! It’s mostly just a beach hangout these days in Florida. I wanted simple, so I could convince my wife that we needed all the other goodies. 🤣 Love my Gladiator
