Would a big rig nozzle fits into this adapter? The opening look kinda small.

Yes, the ID is about 1.5". The sizing is based on the largest diameter nozzle I could find plus some spare room for max flexibility.

Spray some WD40 between the hose and filler neck. This will help loosen the grip between the two.

I’m guessing that the little bit of WD40 won’t cause any issues with any that gets down into the tank?
