Depending on which pump and nozzle. I can get another 2 to 3 gallons in after the first shut off. I notice a difference in nozzle flows between different pumps.Concur, I aim for 2 gallons after shutoff. If i'm greedy, i'll go for 2.5 gal.
Mine has looked the same for 3 years now (tried using a prybar before looking up how the flap was attached). It'll still seal well enough you can fill it all the way up the neck with out it leaking all over the fender.I tried the channel lock method yesterday and broke part of the fuel cap seating area. I chose to just take the whole assembly out and then take it apart. My first diesel was done the same way. Hopefully no issues with this being broke and having check engine lights later.
