The story of my fuel filtered dilemma. I've changed my fuel filter when I changed my oil for the first time when I bought this Jeep in the early 2024. I had not changed the filter, even touched it. Until now, We took a trip out west in May, And after being gone for three weeks, I might add that I use the Jeep as a toad behind my motorhome. I started smelling diesel And after further investigation after a few days, I saw that I had a small drip coming from the fuel filter. I tried my best to tighten it with the tools that I had to no avail, So I just let it ride and brought it home. Last week I got here and had to use Large pair of vice grips To get the cap off. I installed a new cap. It went on smooth as silk and I tighten it up. it leak worse than before. I'm now waiting for a whole filter housing to arrive arrive to install it, But this is really a poor design. If it's going to leak that easily, I've been changing the same type of filter on my F250 for almost 20 years and have never had one leak from that filter. It's also under the driver's side Seat also, So I'll let you know what happens when I change the whole fuel filter housing?
