Well, I guess I might have an injector stuck open but I can’t tell by how the engine feels and responds. I’ve tried clearing the code but it won’t.

Does anyone know if there’s an injector upgrade to the 3.6 or should I just stay with OE? I’ve already had the upper intake off last summer to replace the plugs and noticed #6 plug was wet. Didn’t have a gas smell but it was wet. I was also told by my service manager that those silicone/rubber gaskets (I think they’re blue or green if I recall) were reusable so I didn’t change those but now going in twice, I think it prudent to replace all those. Also, with 112k kms on the clock, and no oil cooler leak, maybe it’s time to upgrade that one too.

If you found a wet plug on number 6. I would start with the connection there by pulling the connector off at the injector and the corresponding connector at the ecu and look for a short on the ground wire. The injector itself would be my next go to. Do we have software issues that cause the p0200 code?

Is the p0200 code a permanent code? You can not clear those codes. You fix the issue and the ecu will determine if is fixed and clear the code.

UPDATE:
I figured I would start at the easiest point and undo the ECU connector and take a peek. I sprayed both sides of the connector real good with DeoxIT Shield and reconnected it. Took the end covers off and sprayed the backs of the connector where the wires enter, real good and ran my scan tool. No more open circuit to the injector! It did give me a U0002-00 code to say ‘lost communication’ yuda yuda yuda… I figured cuz I separated the ECU connection. When I put it all back, I gave it 30 min to think about what I had done and readjust it’s attitude and I ran the scan again…. All good.!

I guess 4 years of mudding, water fording, and engine bay washes, some crap got in that connector and it just needed a cleaning.
Thanks @Lost1wing for your advice.

I'm going to get a can of that stuff. I have a Roxor that I play with in the mud and water. I have already sprayed fluid film everywhere. But I avoided the connectors.

What’s different about the “Shield” spray is I noticed it has an aggressive “fizzy” action when it detects other contaminants on the pins or plastic slide parts of the connectors. The regular DeoxIT doesn’t do that. Also, if you spray the connector and it dries and you want to wrap the joints in electrical tape, forget it. Won’t stick. The lubricant of it is also amazing which makes the connecting and slide action of the two parts effortlessly easy.

I want to say that is the name of the stuff we used at the " John Deere" plant. Different label, ours was just a generic label. Any mil-specs on the can that you can see? I can look it up, I'm just being lazy at the moment.

After reading this, I see I should have sprayed first with the D series then followed up with the S N 5. Oh well. What ever it is I did, it worked and the codes are gone.

Well at least I sprayed the TCM (transmission control module) connector in proper order, first with the D series then I got the S (shield) series cuz I liked that it protects against humid and salty conditions and I went back in and sprayed the TCM.

Oh well, the ECU connector isn’t a big deal…is it? I hope I don’t have one of those “ask me how I know” situations. 😳

I knew a guy who had a truck that He sprayed under the hood all the time . Messed wiring and other things up. NO water will ever be sprayed around anywhere inside my engine bay. Beside I also feel like unless the engine is cold it isn't a good thing to spray a hot engine down. I aint scolding you, you do what ya think is best but for me everything is wiped down under the hood . I have even quite a few times taken a few microfiber clothes and wiped mud off the oil pain and side of the engine block after the block is stone cold. Glad you got it fixed should that ever happen to me I will remember this.

Well, something worked since getting that ground at the ECU connector fixed and the injector unstuck yesterday.
I should be seeing 14.7L/100 km in the city, driving my normal route to work and this morning I’m doing 13.9L/100 (17mpg).
