The elastic straps, yes. The front, not so much. The front clips are actually between the windshield and the frame so it requires unscrewing the windshield to remove.
How do/would you latch and unlatch the soft top with the clips in place?

I had the spiderweb shade on my JK and loved it. I will be ordering a full length one for my JT.

I had a Spiderwebshade on my JK Unlimited and I liked the product but found it very challenging to turn the latches through the mesh which is why I’m hesitant about buying it again.

The latches on the Gladiator Freedom Top are much easier to turn so perhaps that’s going to make it easier to use.

I have been considering another mesh top with openings at the latch locations.

I had the front spiderweb shade on my JK and then got a Dirty Dog shade for.the back to.xover the dog, she was sying back there. Both were great but I liked the spiderweb shade better for how mounted. The dirty dog uses webstraps that I has to route under each other so they didn't flap. This was really minor since both shades worked great. I plan on putting a full length spiderweb shade on my JT once it arrives.

How is everyone else’s fitment on the JT4D model? Exterior fit & tension is good on mine, but it’s super loose & flappy around the cutout. My only semi current reference would be the 2pc Alien Sunshade on my wife’s JLU, which doesn’t move at all. Is the loose center just a consequence of being 1 full length piece, or is something not right? Appreciate any help in advance!

This is where the JTOP one really shines. It is built to stretch across the top and stay in place. It is different from the others because it uses a rod that is embedded in the fabric and hearts it in place when strapped down.

I was back & forth between the JTop & Spider, went with Spider to save a few bucks, and reviews seemed good enough. I did detach and reattach a few of the rear bungies this afternoon, and it seemed to help slightly, but still a long way from being tight.

I’m not sure how, but I guess there’s a chance that I didn’t install it correctly, but until I figure out what that could be, I’m not impressed. The center portion directly above my head sounds, and moves, like a flag flapping in the wind.

They have a two week return policy that has passed, I stockpiled stuff while waiting on the JT to be built & delivered. I sent an email to their support, hoping to find a fix or resolution.

I didn’t either when searching for alternatives this evening..I guess the JL front piece will fit, but saw no mention of a rear JT piece.
