I can’t remember where but someone did spot a photo on the gladiator and the rear window was rolled up like the JK was. If I can find the pic I’ll post it.
I thought the window slides out. Now I need to find a picture.

It does slide out. And I know that it is zipperless. Here’s a picture of a rag top version with the top off, with the rear plastic window removed but with the rear 2 side sections still on the truck. And FYI I have never seen a picture of the rear window of a Gladiator rolled up like JTRUBI mentions.

This one confuses me. This is the soft top with the top still on, but... !? why is this different from @Jake 's picture? So in that picture above they removed the top and the glass, but left the side sections? Huh? Maybe it has to do with the doors not having been removed in that picture, but they were in this one?

And in the "2020 Jeep Gladiator | Closer Look" video, it’s alternating from both configuration without explanation...

Ok folks I apologize. I was the one who had found a picture of what looks like a rolled up rear window of a rag top version Gladiator. See the thread: JT Gladiator media first drive event happening now

I had forgotten about this and just had to search for it. You can take the rag top off part by part. I think most people will take just the rear window out of the rag top version and more than likely the 2 rear side corner sections as well and will just fold the top section back. In one of these pictures Mark Allen from Jeep has one of these rear side corner sections in his hand. In that picture the top section of the rag roof is up, the rear plastic glass is out and just the drivers side rear quarter section is out(is in Mark’s hand) while the passenger rear quarter side section is still on the truck.

I think that taking off the actual top roof section may be a pain in the ass to do which is why I don’t think many people will go to that much trouble to get it off. I may be wrong. Who knows?

Oh and JTRUBI you can quit looking for that picture now.

This is funny. Jake's picture is with no roof or window, but with doors and rear corner sections.

Your photo also has no window, but also no doors and no corners, with top on in a "Safari" type look. Totally different, both Gladiators lol

Love the part where he says, they went out of their way to keep the BED sides LOW . . . HOGWASH ! Easiest decision imaginable. . . look at the horizontal lines of the Cabin, then look at the CONTINUATION of these lines on the BED ! This tells me they had NO choice - IF they were to follow along with every other Jeep Product Design cues ! If they added another 2" to the bed side height, it would throw off the entire "LOOK," and look stupid-silly ! Just my humble opinion, after all my (old) degree is in architectural DESIGN and drafting . Ok, now it's time for the Apps Department guys to create a JT with a 2+ inch bed side height - lets see those "bastard JT"S" ! YEA !

Well they could have added 2" to the line running down the truck too. I'm sure it's all tied together. I doubt they were like, "Lets put a line down the truck here. Well I guess the box has to be 18" tall now."

lol

Your missing the point . . . the line location is meaningless . . . they felt the need to continue the design element front to rear - which IMO is a good thing . If they physically raised the bed side height 2" to 191/2" then what happens to the Rear Window aspect ? Or the roof line height ? See what happens ? It all gets F'd up at that point . Sure add 2 MORE inches to the height of the Cabin . . . it would look ODD !? Bigger windshield, worse aerodynamics . . . etcetera !

i'm confused, if they raised the bed, couldn't they make the bottom of the door taller, and the front fenders/quarter panels higher as well?

Or you're saying, that would just throw the proportions all out of whack?

NOW YOUR CONFUSING ME ! STOP THAT ! Just get someone to come up with a rendering of some of this silliness so we can SEE how it would look ! But I think if I hear you correctly you said Raise the bed . . . don't want to do that cause in essence your having to raise the entire vehicle ! I'm saying raise the Wall height / KEEP the actual Bed Floor where it is (and needs to be, in order for the entire design flow to "work" and look good !

You know.......if full size trucks just raised their bed levels up, you could still reach the bottom of the bed while standing on the ground. THEN with all of that unused space below the new deck height, they could design a 50"x4" slot under the bed, to slide plywood into. Perfect!

Or create storage area much like in the, ugh, Honda "truck" ! But by doing what you say, the depth would be Less . . . like I believe the RAM 1500 bed wall height is ~21" ? If you keep it the same, then you loose rear window height visibility !
UGH, there you go again, making me think too much . . . time for me to go to bed . . . its 2240 PST (me).

no, keep the rails of the bed same height so the rear window is same height, just raise the bed level 4 inches. Then the bed wall will be 17" tall with a 3" cubby for plywood underneath it.

I should call "decked", they can make a full width one drawer slide pull out thingy for all the plywood people will be hauling. 3" of plywood is plenty for 90% of Gladiator buyers....PER TRIP.

Look what I found on this Jeep. https://www.jeep.com/webselfservice/BuildSheetServlet?vin=1C6HJTFG1LL100303

It has s KPH speedo. It’s Canadian, eh?

Went to the Vancouver International Auto Show after work yesterday. There were two JT's on display. A red manual Rubicon on a turntable with the doors removed and a small quad in the back. Pointed skyward on some fake rocks surrounded by fake ferns. No touch!

The other JT was a silver Overland that was wide open for inspection. It was an auto. Very comfortable for me at 6'1" and well on the wrong side of 230. Rear seats were pretty comfortable for shortish runs and have adequate leg room IMHO. I got the VIN.
