What does everyone use to contain their rubbish in the JT/JL platform?

My last two JKUs I used one of these trash cans from Vertically Driven Products in the rear cup holders and loved it. Not finding a similar solution for the new platform yet though. Curious what everyone is using.

If you don’t have wet garbage, a trash bag is a simple and space saving solution:

Jeep Gladiator Garbage / Trash Can? E65EA9AA-4844-4C5B-BA70-0A2954929BCF

I snap the hanging strap of the bag under the Manual Park Release Cover:

This kind of bag, available on eBay and Amazon, is not rigid and you can empty it by opening the bottom:

Depending on your seats, on the Rubicon (or leather seats with Molle) the front seats have tabs in behind the seat, towards the bottom below the molle that perfectly fit grocery bags (and definitively a take-out "food saver", don't ask me how I know so much about transporting Soba noodle bowls). I usually load up 3 or 4 bags ahead of time on each seat before road trips and slowly fill/remove. While you're driving you can use one arm to fill the opposing side reaching behind the seat.

A carabiner around the upright of the passenger headrest and a recycled plastic bag attached to it.

No wet trash in the cars allowed. Dry dry only.

My Overland came with the carpet floor mats. I have a set of the slush mats that sit in there on top of the carpet mats. I just drop the trash at my feet and clean it out at the end of the day.

I just throw it out the window and make it someone else’s problem.

kidding. I honeslty just use a plastic grocery bag around the gear shift lever on road trips. Makes tossing out the trash, especially if smelly, more easy. Shrug.

Haha! Gotta love those "learning" experiences. My wife once learned that a 20oz McDonald's soda cup won't stay standing in the rear floor cup holder of the Suburban we had while she rounds a corner... ?‍♂

Bummer, I have a Sport S Max Tow with cloth seats - no hook.

These have worked out GREAT! I got them right after I got the truck, and hook the little strap on the back seat holder. The other one went into the Honda. Crumple up a receipt and in it goes, dump in the trash barrel when I get home.

A pistol range case lined with a grocery bag. It is attached to the molle on the seat back. Went this route since it was the only thing I could find that would zip closed. Everything else wouldn't seal and would have blown out all over the road 90% of the time. Though thinking about it, that isn't a bad thing. lol one way to make sure it is always empty.

Off topic - I looked at your pictures again and see your radio - I mounted my GMRS radio in the same spot, but not sure what to do with the mic yet. I see your mic cable hanging there on the top of the picture - how did you mount yours?

It’s an handmade bracket simply inserted between the plastic faceplate of the dashboard and the handle, not the leather.

I find it more convenient than the commercial hanger that put the mic higher and in the hot stream of the air vent...

I was looking at something similar on the other side for my handheld scanner, but the antenna jack is on top of the unit, so for now I fit it between the handle and the hand break, retained by the antenna cable!

Nice! That flat surface in between the Tune knob and the grab handle would be a perfect spot to screw in the mic mount that came with the radio. But I can't get myself to put two screw holes right there on my new JT quite yet. Haha. Might have to try fabricating my own little bracket like that. I had one on my '16 JKU for the mic and it worked perfectly. But haven't seen an option like it for the JL/JT yet.
