I have a 2023 Glad gas job. sometimes when I fill it up it shoots gas out the filler tube when it's topped off. It wont do it all the time , but enough times to be anoying.
I had a 2012 Jeep Liberty that did it every once in awhile, no more than 3 to 4 times in 11 years. I'm afraid it will be like over filling and having gas go into the charcoal canister. What caused this to happen, should I get it checked the next time I have the truck serviced ?. Thanks all.

Does this happen with the automatic shut-off when the tank is full, or when you try to add more to top it off?

It happens with the auto shut off. Sometimes I can catch it from sound and shut it off manualy. I did notice at one gas station the rubber above the nozle inclosed the whole entrance to the filler tube, it worked great. Other,s ride above the filler tube. I keep the fender waxed real good, Lol. I'm just worried about it over filling and hurting the charcoal canister. I love the truck, but I'm glad I only leased it, When the warranty is up the lease is about up.

Here, many of the stations have the environmental nozzles that contain the fumes. I've only had it burp up one time, so far. I fill on the slowest setting possible. I usually get gas at the Sam's Club about a mile away. They have eight double-sided pumps and are always busy, so the fuel flows a little slower there.

From reading the various threads, the only fix that seems to work is to replace the fill tube behind the gas cap.

Same problem here, with the slower pumps and evap recovery nozzles in CA it will burp up a little. Outside of CA, like in NB or IA, with the slow pump speed being much faster than in CA, it would spit up from the filler tube, like an ounce or two. Either way, I can hear some gurgling after removing the nozzle. Like others, I make a bib out of paper towels for it
