Looks like your 3rd brake light is out, on the tailgate. I like the light strip. I may get one of those.
It is a brake light only, not a parking/running light. I am not in the vehicle, but taking the picture. Only the parking/running lights are on.

I have a ZAutomotive Tazer and have programmed my third brake light to flash two times before solid when I step on the brakes - they call it pulse feature. Seems to get everyone’s attention… knock on wood.
I was going to post this. You can adjust the blink speed and how many times the CHMBL pulses when you hit the brake.

New idea. Brake light triggers an emergency announcement to every phone within 250 yards. So drivers know they are about to crash and look up to see the impact.

I love this idea, if this system gets implemented we could include a transmitter in traffic lights that sends an announcement to phones when the light goes green.

A text every time someone brakes...to discourage looking at their phones? What could go wrong?

I forget that not everybody is disciplined enough to ignore their phone while driving, if they were we wouldn't be having this discussion.
The notifications need to be broadcast to the phones which are in use.

Which would just be further distracting? Full self driving can't come soon enough to protect these people from themselves.

I agree. They can make the slow lane the self driving lane, then those of us that like to drive can actually drive.

They didn’t see/missed the High Velocity paint job on your JTM?
It was nut to butt traffic and it was pissing down rain. I stopped for the car in front of me, Mr Krispy Kreme driver not so much.

I was on my way to work.......got out, he left some paint on my rear hooks. Told him, I don't have time for this shit and left

Never been rear ended. They will need a tow truck and they know it.

I like this idea, but I'm a little concerned if a low enough car at the right speed might wedge under and cause the rear of the Gladiator to lift and lose traction and possibly send the Gladiator into oncoming traffic? Dunno? I've never seen that style before.

I just got rear ended on the way home from the dealer. I was sitting in a drive through and the lady behind said she "forgot her foot was on the brake" and rolled into me. The hitch punched through her bumper, no damage to me.

It mostly comes down to what has been said here about people being on their phones or with their heads up their rear ends.

FWIW: Have someone verify that your third brake light actually works. We all know that people should definitely pay attention regardless of brake lights, and a functioning third brake light won’t help if they aren’t looking. However, I just replaced my third brake light due to it not working for who knows how long. They apparently go out quite regularly on the JT. My local dealerships all have a ton of them in stock…

I also utilized the flashing third brake light feature in the Tazer settings after replacing.
