I wouldn't count out Jeep. Jeep has taken many bold steps in the last 5 years. Not only did they resurrect the Grand Wagoneer, but they also came out with a diesel-powered Wrangler and Gladiator. 5 years ago, people would have said, "FCA will never come out with a Jeep truck with a diesel engine". And look where we are today. It wouldn't cost Jeep very much money to come out with a regular cab Gladiator.
Exactly

The large SUV is a market that I believe is coming back. If I ever purchase another non-truck vehicle, the Grand Wagoneer is the direction I would go. I have always been disappointed by the lack of choice in large vehicles.
The diesel Gladiator and Wrangler help combat the burden of government regulations. I think we will see a fully-electric Gladiator before we see a standard cab model.

Didn't they cancel the bronco truck?
Like Jeep, I don’t think they cancel anything. (Hummer, Maverick for example) my opinion only. After the Gladiator, Ford came out with the Maverick to gage reaction. Trucks are here to stay and the options will be many to fit consumer needs. Including 2 door and extrcab.

Here is a rendering I made with the bed and back of the cab removed. The roof has the stock rear C pillar width with the driver's seat tracked fully rearward and reclined in a driving position that gives you 6 inches from the headrest to the rear wall/window and 12 inches at the floor. So still some room behind the seats for a stash of smaller stuff. The front 'Freedom Panels' are unmodified and useable.
