UPDATE: For those that were wondering what happened to my Gladiator High Altitude 2021

After one week later dealer finally called back, Gladiator is running again :)

They said that a defective bracket and pin of the PDC was causing an intermittent open circuit preventing to deliver 12V to the RF Hub module reason why the fobkey was not working at all, they decided to replace the entire PDC unit to assure the issue is gone, they tested the new one prior to replace the old one to discard any issues and everything was good.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there
I'm here to see if anyone else is struggling with intermittent issues with the gladiator

Issue:

The issue always happen in the morning and after one day or two of no driving. The fobkey does not work any of it functions (unlock/lock/either keyless entry system./ remote start or alarm). The interesting part is I leave it for 1 hour or two and everything works fine and for the rest of the day.
*NOTE: I tested both fobkeys to make sure was not the fobkey battery.

The issue happened again so after do some research I disconnected the main battery and I immediately I hear a clicking sound coming from the fuse box so I hit the unlock button of the fobkey and everything worked fine (main battery disconnected) I reconnected the main battery and the gladiator turns off again.

The gladiator was towed to the dealership and they won't able to replicate the failure, they check both batteries and codes and they told me that batteries were fine at the moment of the inspection but they found a couple of codes related to the RF Hub system (loss of connection tires and Key) they clear the codes and I take back the gladiator and had a smooth drive for almost a month until the issue happened again but this time disconnecting the batteries didn’t work so was towed to the dealership.

are you having/had the same issue? if yes, it was fixed and how?

Thank you

I’ve got a 2020 Sport S with 8K miles. Same thing happened to me a few months ago. First time they said both batteries were defective and replaced. Week later, it happened again. Techs said something was drawing 2 amps and draining batteries, but they could find source. After 2.5 weeks in shop they determined I had a defective radio and replaced. It’s been OK since, but I’m waiting on it to happen again. And, I’ve been looking at 4Runners (and this is my 13th Jeep).

Thanks for sharing your experience and good to know that they were able to fixed, I'm thinking to get a Tacoma then.

It was very frustrating that everything works fine the first time I towed to the dealer, I will have to wait and see what they determine, I will keep you posted.
