I wanted a truck, I love Jeeps.

Shopped for mid-sized trucks, none of them excited me because at the end... they are just... trucks. Coming from full-sized trucks all my life, it felt like a big downgrade and I hated the prospect of having to settle for a crappy mid-sized generic truck like a Colorado, Tacoma, or Ranger.

Just returned a JKU a half a year ago. Loved it. It was one of the most fun cars I had and it didn't even perform that well in any category other than off-roading... the daily driving aspect wasn't great, the interior sucked, but I smiled everytime I looked at it and drove it because it was just cool.

So when the daughter kept nagging about how much she loved the Gladiator, and then my neighbor got one to go along with his 2 Wranglers, then I saw one on the freeway... I was like... hmmm... so one day I was shopping in another neighborhood and got lost and took a turn and saw a CDJR dealer, I stopped in to talk to a salesman not expecting anything and I told him I wasn't going to buy and just was inquiring.

He took my info, we texted a few times, next thing you know, I got a JT delivered to my house. It was the best choice in mid-sized trucks for this old retired guy.

If I can't check more than one box, I'm not checking any. Lol. Fix it.

I’ve always wanted a Jeep. I remember being a young boy obsessed with drawing Jeeps rolling over various stuff - hills, mountains, and of course, other vehicles. I used to draw Evil Kenivel jumps too (he was big back in those days).

As I grew up, raising kids and such, getting a Jeep never made sense. Similarly, having a pickup truck would have been great, but it just wasn’t practical at the time.

Well, enter the Gladiator... a Jeep AND a truck?!? So, here I am in my early 50s... loving a vehicle like no other (well, my Challenger was a close second).

got my Mojave for overlanding. I didnt want to deal with importing another Land Cruiser 70 in pick up or the Defender pick up.

this is the closest thing we have in the US.

I had a Comanche and a pair of Cherokees in the 80's and 90's. Also have had a few F150's. The Gladiator reignited my passion for Jeeps.

And I love my overalls, from which I assume "overalnding" is derived. ;)

Same here, bought a brand new 87 Comanche short box Sportruck (their spelling) loaded with options and accessories, light bar, lights, you name it, it had it, T5 stick, then went to Cherokee for a while (got married again) and have had numerous Grand Cherokees, likely every model they made (still have two of those) and I saw a JT in a showroom and told my wife - I want one...... that was that.

I needed something to tow our new travel trailer and I didn’t want some boring truck. Gladiator fit the bill and then some. It just makes me smile driving it.

Here I am in January with the freedom tops off. Hard to not enjoy this truck.

You left out for a choice "I just love Jeeps but also needed a truck and always wanted a Wrangler, too......."

I had a WK and needed a pickup - commodity pickups were out of the question.

Had an '18 JLU Moab edition that I built up and loved but we got a travel trailer and needed something to tow it. Couldn't give up topless and doorless and the gladiator is best of both worlds.
