Rack was cutdown from a large cooler rack from my suburban, it can take a hit cause of the 1/4” thick steel receiver tube, and the stainless 1/4” thick angles welded on top to pinch the very lightweight aluminum rack in.
The rack that I cut up to make this one was on two Tahoes, a Silverado and a Suburban since 2001 ,Silverado was only a year .
So it’s a legacy rack that was used when I bought it in 2001, still going strong when I chopped it up, and on at least five of my surf buggies!…..Jack

One of my favorite things about the build is that it is open to the cab of the truck. It essentially doubles the size of the Camper.

I can enter the camper from the doors of the cab or the tailgate. On rainy/muddy days, I enter from the cab and leave my muddy shoes on the Jeep Floor mats. It makes a nice foyer.

Kinda begs for a rear seat delete. Atleast on side.
Either way, this is still my favorite.

It would be nice to just take out the seat behind the driver’s seat and keep the fridge there. It’s easy to get to it from the cab, camper, or outside.

I still drive my family of 4 around in the Jeep so I’m keeping the back seats for now.

I have seen you post about taking a kid with, thought it was just 1.
Ours are all grown and 2 of them are starting their own families. The dog is the only rear passenger 90% of the time. I've been really thinking about taking out the rear seats or part of it anyways. Putting the cooler back there is my main reason. That and I could make a dog bed with under storage for the other side.
Ya, the dog is pretty spoiled.

@RudeJeepin show us some pictures if you take a back seat out. That is a perfect location for the fridge.

Here's a great idea for any Jeep Engineers that are watching:

Make the rear seats of a Gladiator easily removable.

Not too bad to pull them out actually, just a tad awkward - worst part is finding a place to store them...

I started with passenger side removed for fridge/freezer (I made a simple plywood platform that bolts in the seat mounts that the fridge ties down too). Plenty of room for an adult passenger in this configuration.

I've since yanked the drivers side out as well for the room, easy to pop in if needed 👍

From my imagination to a picture. A 3/4 ton Jeep/Overlanding vehicle. Pretty cool design tools you have on-line these days.

Haha!
You have quite the imagination and skills. I’m impressed but if I could offer a suggestion you might want to put 3 tires on the right side to match the left side! 😜

Looks interesting.
Are the rear tires smaller on purpose?

Man this is a tough crowd:whew:.

Guess I flunked this one. 5WD and rear wheels are way too small. Back to the drawing board, literally:)

Still playing around with AI. Scale is better, but just too long and heavy for a Jeep. I love how AI scrambles the words.

Left side is out of proportion.
