You beat me to it!I just read 4.88 will be available in 2022
I never understand why people are so concerned with warranty. Getting warranty work done is like pulling teeth. I avoid the dealer like the plague. The only thing I need protection from is the engine catching fire or throwing a rod.I can do the work yes but, I want the warranty
I paid $37,100 for mine in Feb 2020 and they offered me $42,000 for mine at the dealership with 41,200 miles on it. Mines a Base sport, seems like you could of come out better but maybe your market your in. They got hardly none on the lot around my ways.Just FYI, I sold my JTR with 42k miles, owned it since July 2019, for 83%+ of purchase price.
Yeah - but warranty comfort...Do it yourself-- you can do it way better than a preconfigured package anyway...
I could get gears done for what 1200? And what if you don’t like the factory wheels and tires? I know I’m not spending 4k for just gears at that point. Not for $4k and factory warranty.
Possibly, but from I have seen gears are generally close to $2k, lift, 35s on 8” wide wheels plus the fender flares would be worth $2k to meI could get gears done for what 1200? And what if you don’t like the factory wheels and tires? I know I’m not spending 4k for just gears at that point.
Yeah man I think it just depends what you want, if you like the factory wheels and tires go for it. But my local dealer will install the gears, so for me personally it would be covered.Possibly, but from I have seen gears are generally close to $2k, lift, 35s on 8” wide wheels plus the fender flares would be worth $2k to me
Not really. I'm getting my hood adjusted and painted, a new rear axle (when it gets here anyway), and my radio reprogrammed today. Maybe the Sirius XM favorites will work now. I want to be covered, should said engine throw a rod. It wasn't hard getting things covered at all. I told the service advisor it wasn't working correctly. So they fixed it all. For free. And gave me a vehicle to drive while they did so.I never understand why people are so concerned with warranty. Getting warranty work done is like pulling teeth. I avoid the dealer like the plague. I’m in MD and talked to 3 different shops (dealer and 2 independent shops), all are $3,000 for gears in a Rubicon. I have the fender extenders on order ($75 for all 4), Mopar contacted me and said I’d have them on 1/7/22. I already have the Mopar wheels and same size tires they put on the Extreme Recon Wrangler.I could get gears done for what 1200? And what if you don’t like the factory wheels and tires? Who quoted you 3k for gears. And like I said before I don’t want mopar wheels, or those tires, so I’m not spending 4k on a package like that.I’m in MD and talked to 3 different shops (dealer and 2 independent shops), all are $3,000 for gears in a Rubicon. Avoid Adams Jeep! Unless you have unlimited income.Who quoted you 3k for gears. And like I said before I don’t want mopar wheels, or those tires, so I’m not spending 4k on a package like that.
Hahaha I used them for a regear on my tj, at the time didn charge me out the wazoo. But at the time I always used adams Suzuki (not open anymore), the service writer there knew everything about jeeps, was a real nice guy and the mechanic was awesome too.Avoid Adams Jeep! Adams, JE Performance and a shop I wouldn’t use but wanted a 3rd quote. The parts alone are $1,300 or so and then labor, tax, supplies, etc.Who quoted you 3k for gears. And like I said before I don’t want mopar wheels, or those tires, so I’m not spending 4k on a package like that.
Rubicon or not shouldn't make that much of a difference. I was quoted between $1600-$1800 for 4.88 gears in Charlotte, NC area in my Max tow. Don't see how the Rubicon would make a $1200 difference, I got a Max Tow so we got the same wide Axles and 4.10 gears.I’m in MD and talked to 3 different shops (dealer and 2 independent shops), all are $3,000 for gears in a Rubicon.
