Thanks for demystifying black bear for those that have never run itšŸ‘
Opposite for me, made it more mystifying. Itā€™s a must do for me. Canā€™t wait to get up there and give it a shot.

In Wv this is just called.

ā€œthe roadā€.
Haha Iā€™ve been on some of the backroads in the mid west and south and I donā€™t disagree. The real big difference is the fall should you screw it all up.

Bronco trail turn assist. On one hand it's cool to make it a 0 point turn, on the other hand that trail will be closed fairly quickly if they all use it.

I was in Telluride last weekend in my JT. Hiked up to Bridal Veil falls and took Last Dollar Road back to Ridgway on Sunday. The colors were amazing.

The trail assist is definitely a cool feature. There are times it would come in handy with our long wheelbase.

Haha šŸ˜‚ yes, the very same road/pass. I believe there are Jeepā€™s on the album cover.

Tried out trail turn assist on some gravel. Dealer demo only car so couldn't do much else. Dragging that tire is definitely cool and cuts that turn radius down like crazy, but as you've said it's not free. The downside is it leaves a mark on the trail. Once or twice who cares, but if everyone did it... it doesn't tread lightly.

Which leaves the question, where is it really usable? Some people have said "just use it on sand" but bogging one tire on purpose just sounds like you're asking for trouble. It's more an answer in search of a question.

Thanks for the video. I've been down Black Bear twice in my TJ. I need to get there in my Gladiator too. About Black Bear... the 10 miles of road to get to the famous parts is some of the most scenic in Colorado. The steps above the cliff ride might be the scariest part, especially in a short wheelbase wheeler, especially if you have independent front suspension. The first turn onto the cliff drive looks much worse than it is. The second switchback on the cliff drive (the one in the OPS movie) is STEEP. I've done a lot on wheeling in Colorado. I get pretty excited the first time over a pass. After the first time, I let my wife drive and I enjoy the scenery. Not at Black Bear! The intensity of the first ride sticks with you.
