It depends on the state.. Texas the sales tax is on the sale price of the vehicle minus the trade value of your trade in. Several other states have sales tax based on the sales price of the car alone. Down payment shouldn't have any impact on sales taxes.@RTDNECO
I'm using this spreadsheet again to do some math... and I noticed something. The tax calculation seems to be on the number minus trade-in and deposit?
I thought it was on the purchase price before any down payment and/or trade-ins? which is it?
aha! ok... so i'll need to figure out for my state then. thanks. It depends on the state.. Texas the sales tax is on the sale price of the vehicle minus the trade value of your trade in. Just call your dealer and ask. They should be fully knowledgeable on the subject.aha! ok... so i'll need to figure out for my state then. thanks.

If they’re not, then you know where NOT to buy... haha
Did we get some new info?Time to update with the invoice pricing
Yes. All options priced now. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/2020-jeep-gladiator-jt-order-guide.15368/Did we get some new info?
Dealers weren’t supposed to be able to jack with LE pricing. Having a dealer tell me that they will charge extra on the initial purchase helps me to know where I would NEVER take my business again, maintenance or otherwise.Im assuming the discounts are on the none LE Gladiators. Is this the case? I could only find a dealer that would get me the MSRP. Many dealers are saying 5K over MSRP for the LE.
