Still no VIN on my LE

Something is not right... did you order on 4/3 or 4/4 ? Or get one of those late “hey we have one available to order” deals??

What color is your LE (doesn't show it on the tracking spreadsheet)? If you have a Granite Crystal LE, most folks are still waiting for VINs. My dealer says 3 of the 6 GC LEs that were ordered through him have VINs (which is progress if true), but I'm still C status on an order placed 4/3...

Still sitting D1 since May 6th. No it's not a LE but it was everything except body color fenders & tops. Well also, switched to the plan bumper since they were backordered when I placed mine.
June 2nd delivery is not looking hopeful, but with a 2-3 day line run who knows.

The June 2th date you got is most likely the est. ship date.. aka when the truck is planned to come off the line. It is not a delivery date. Delivery dates are not figured out until after the truck is built and invoiced. I would add 2 weeks to the est ship date (aka ECD of line build) for shipping. Could be less or more depending on how things line up.

My dealer just texted me saying I moved to E status - Framing... I guess it is a matter of few days unless we run into some assembly line issues... My ship date was 5/28 so I am guessing that is not happening LOL

Got the window sticker today and checked with my dealer. Confirmed order status JS, it's built and sitting in storage. Hopefully that means I will have it in my driveway in less than a month.

Update.... Order status is KZ and it is in transit to my dealership!

I just got a text from a Jeep employee that said my truck has shipped. The tracker is still showing no window sticker found. I guess I will find out more tomorrow. I am only 45 minutes from the plant. If it shipped it should show up tomorrow.

The dealer said there's a 6-8 week delivery time, but he's seen them come in as early as 4 weeks depending on the vehicle. I took that as truth and didn't ask any other questions. I guess I assumed that my new JT was sitting in a distribution center or factory lot somewhere and all they had to do was slap in the parts I ordered and ship it out. Now I'm hearing everyone talking about framing, painting, etc..

I would have thought they'd already produced thousands of these things over the last few months, since they planned to start selling them in May.

Are they actually building my Jeep to order from scratch?

It's called a custom order because...it's a custom order.

If you haven't seen how they build them, watch this video. This will give you a feel that they aren't just "slapping" parts on an existing vehicle and will build it up with your options.

It only takes two to three days to build and they ship them as fast as they can. Most of the time is not making the truck. It is waiting for it the parts to be lined up. Then it depends on an open spot in the production line. I would say 6 to 8 weeks is a save bet not knowing your options. 4 weeks could happen too. I ordered April 4th and should have mine by week 8. I even feel lucky if I get by week 8.

Most company have been moving to just in time delivery of parts for the last 20 plus years and do not stock pile product to mod later.

Wow. That's awesome. I've been telling myself that this is the "one I'm keeping forever", even though I've said it about my last 5 Jeeps. Now that I know this Jeep was speced by me and built specifically for me, I think I'll be buried in it... or at least be passing this one down as a family heirloom.
