If you got the Alpine Premium Audio and Bluetooth speaker, then you got the 7" system with dual temp climate control.

It's just called "Technology Group" (AAN) on your build sheet.

No... unfortunately the alpine speaker upgrade does. Not equal the tech group. NeitherThe build sheet nor the window sticker talk about technology group, 5inch cluster, 7inch touchscreen or auto air.[/QUOTE]

I agree "Technology Group" was terminology only used by dealer's system, not Jeep build tool on website, build sheet, or window sticker.

When I built mine, I believe the 7" was forced with the Alpine premium audio. Also, I know "Technology Group" is not used on other materials, but that's the only other $995 option I had besides the Safety Group.

My sticker is attached. No 7inch group, no tech group...
Ok, yeah I see that. That definitely shows the Alpine was available without the 7" then for your order.

I was ordering both anyway and there have been discrepancies between the online configurator and the dealer system, so who knows. I also ordered manual transmission so with things being messed up, that might have required/not required specific options to order others.

Stupid question... How is everyone getting a play by play on their build short of bugging the dealer? For example, I see BA, BB, BD, etc. The dealer informed me when I reached D, but is there a way to see it each step of the way? Admittedly, I haven't dug super deep on this, but I have been looking around for about 30 minutes and haven't seen anything except for asking the dealer or Jeep Chat (which doesn't seem to have very accurate information.

Thanks!

That's all you get. Your dealer or jeep chat, or the 1800 number. There is no place to "self check" or even to sign up for automated email updates or anything short of having to deal with someone who really doesn't know what's going on either.

This sure seems like a missed opportunity for a brand that has so much consumer enthusiasm and loyalty. I spec'd out a $50k+ JEEP that I am obviously stoked about. Of course I want to check in every hour for a glimpse of an update!

Agreed. I was checking Jeep chat every morning mon-fri, I've resorted to shooting my dealer an email every fri because it's just bouncing back and forth between C, D, and D1 status and the chat has no answers as to how or why it regresses and advances like that. So hearing about it once a week without a legit explanation is much better than every morning...for me at least.

I too think Jeep should have a Customer check system where we could enter in a VIN number and/or a VON number and perhaps our own password so we could check a status ourselves and not have to ask our dealership who sells below cost prices or someone from Jeep Chat or from Jeep Cares or someone from the 800 number. But this concept would make too much sense to do. Go figure!

Yeah I'm not going to bug my dealer daily when he's doing a stack of similar deals just so that my impatience can be restrained. Jeep Chat obviously doesn't have the same information. Just checked with them and they say they're still running through the order despite me already having a VIN and D status almost a week ago.

I'm no programmer or anything, but I would think it wouldn't be too difficult to do exactly as you say considering the data is already out there. We just need a vehicle to provide it to the consumer. I mean I can get minute by minute updates on a pizza I order online for crying out loud!

My sweet little Gladi has been “in transit” since Saturday 8/31 per my dealer, but Jeep Chat told me yesterday it is waiting to be loaded on a rail car and there is no ETA. Hmm. So close but yet so far away...

So frustrating !! I can’t get to mad after reading some of these other nightmares. I asked my dealership what their honest opinion was. I said 2 to 3 weeks? They said hopefully next week. I know that’s a longshot
