What did your dealer said today?
Got a call while in the dentist chair getting all polished up and checked out -
He said "your Jeep has moved into production, it's on the production line now"

I checked status here - nuttin'

So - maybe that ship date he got earlier that said 11/04 was actually the start of production date?????????
In any case, he got a notice then called me.
Oh, got a follow-up email from them to a few minutes ago -

"Gladiator is going down the production line! Will let you know as I learn more"

So maybe that's what the date they originally said ship date means - ship it down the production line LOL

In any case, the tracker thing here shows zip, nuttin, nada, but maybe that's normal. I didn't read every post in the 200,000 page thread here.

Yeah my ship date from my dealer ended up being the day it was built and my build sheet showed up about three days later

Thanks - that matches what's going on so far. Ship date of 11/04 and then early the next day get notice it's being built.

The tracker here will update a couple days after your build is complete and you will get an email when the update occurs.

So your initial "ship date" ended up being build date and about 5 days later ship to rail yard to await loading and the train ride from there.
This means my order could be complete this week and then on to inspection, bedliner, tonneau cover, etc. where it will sit for weeks waiting for that stuff?

That brings up another question - the local dealer printouts of the configuration preview show a zone of 51 - Chicago while northern Iowa dealer shows zone 74 - Denver.
Why would one destined for Iowa go clean to Denver and then ALLL the way back again when Chicago is much closer for any place in Iowa than Denver is. Or is that just how the dealer zones are broken up?
Makes zero sense to ship THROUGH Iowa to get to Denver and then truck back again. Makes sense to ship from Ohio to Chicago and then on to Iowa.
Is that shipping or just how dealerships are broken up into regions? In any case, Chicago is much closer!!

It does not the zone is only a business center has nothing to do with how the vehicles are handled...ours are built as all are in Ohio, sent to KC and then distributed to the dealerships..

I suspect when the dealer has told us (me the "ship date" is 11/9), that is the build date.

I should have known that from our "lost dealership project" for AMC dealers (on the AMC forum I run) - I collect ads, parts tags and so on and it shows the dealers, location and zone which is more of the business organization than anything. I didn't think before typing.

So much variation on a process where there shouldn't be!!! If Fed-Ex or UPS treated their packages like this, they'd be out of business!!! Ordered mine 9/11, built 9/26, railyard arrival: 10/24 railyard unload: not yet, as in sitting in a train for 2 weeks now! dealer: no eta.

So FRUSTRATING!!!!!

What does this REALLY mean - I just got an email that says - Your VIN tracking info has changed!
When I open it I see that Build Sheet status is found (I assume this is sort of like when restoring a Javelin or AMX or perhaps my Eagle, you find a build sheet in the door, under the carpet, that sort of thing?)
Anyway, I clicked the link and there were about 3 pages - the first couple were "concerning" then the last had "optional equipment" and things looked better.......
But I guess - in modern terms for Jeep - what does this mean? It's BEING built, or they printed this and there's a frame waiting for the body or they are thinking about it after done with a few beers and talking last night's ball game and they may look at this and build one?
What say ye experts and kind folk here?

The build sheet goes live once the vehicle is actually built. The Window sticker will go live when it's released for shipping. At least that's my understanding anyway.

So with that thought, my dealer informed me today mine is in the KZ's status. And gave me an estimated ship date to Utah, then it's gotta come to Idaho. But so far my tracker hasn't changed yet...Maybe tomorrow??? Lol

The tracker here is usually a day or two behind. You can try the following links by adding your VIN# onto the end of them.
