Talked to dealer this AM - told him what the web site says "shipped TBD" and "delivered July 7th" and he says he's still not seen it nor seen any signs of it arriving today but the day's not over.
If it doesn't arrive today, then both the site are wrong and the message he got direct from Jeep will be wrong because they stated delivery between July 6th-11th and it shipped the 7th.
So the date he said he was told it shipped is the date the web site says it was delivered.

Yes, scrap that stupid site. It's never correct about anything, and it waffles back and forth and in the end, no matter how many different dates they put in, it's still wrong.
It's one of the worst tracking sites I've ever seen.
They don't even know when something has shipped and yet there is paperwork for the shipper (Jeep) and the driver (truck driver gets a signed paper, usually contents of the load are revealed but not always, but the date something was shipped and who the shipper was is always on record - always.
They act like it 1997 or something. I can track a $5 widget to my door in almost any shipping company but they can’t track a $40k and up vehicle. Pretty rediculous

He told me it's *typically* 7-10 days after it arrives in Utah to come in via truck. I'll keep updating so the others ordering from Peterson will know what to expect.
I just received an email from Kent that mine is in the Utah distribution center. Hell ya!

ORDER STATUSDELIVERED
Your vehicle has been delivered to the dealership you selected. Please contact the dealership for further information.

Liar-liar, No it hasn't. Worthless site. Dealer says - nope, not here, no sign of it.

They should take that site down until they hire a real developer and data manager for it. My son might be interested, after-all, he was in charge of a lot of the Gannette technology, marketing and web technology and he's Amazon certified (whatever that means HAHA)

The delays are totally understandable. Delays in obtaining parts and supplies, trouble hiring qualified employees, trouble with trains, lack of truck drivers (and after what CA did, it's a poor time to be a truck driver) but to have a web site that even the dealer has better information, more current information - it's just begging the question - why did they bother?

I think the final word is - be prepared. There are cost issues, delivery issues, supply issues, staffing issues, and no one really knows. So, order, and work with your dealership on information. They'll know more than anyone else, including Jeep chat, this lame order tracking web site that says a vehicle has been delivered but not shipped, delivery date was before the real shipping date and so on.
Believe only your dealer if they are a good one - don't rely on any Jeep sources - just the dealer. Jeep does for the most part let ordering dealers know what's up.
The text alerting is broken, the build sheet and window sticker system here is broken, the status web site is beyond broken, it's stating the impossible, giving bad info which is actually worse than no information.

I'm a tech guy so this sort of stuff is beyond amazing.

That sucks, man. Guess I'm happy to be where I'm at and not know when its gonna ship instead of having my chain yanked, think it's delivered and not be there. On a positive note for us, we do still have Gladiators to drive.

I wish I hadn't been so quick to undo some of the stuff, though. Miss my dead pedal badly, I won't have the new one in time to prep it to tow so I'm going to miss two times I could haul one of my cars to a show or event - but can't because I've stripped this one and won't have time now to get the other ready. Oh, well - I guess that means less work, money saved and it will save me some mpg LOL

It is actually so far, anyway, just one day after they told the dealer it would be delivered so that ain't bad. Stuff can happen, truck drivers have rules to follow.

I'd rather the web site either be fixed - or taken down. Can't believe something so poorly done is actually live. I guess that's my thing now.

I ordered a Sport S Max Tow with the popular equipment package (hardtop/convenience group), black wheels, and that's it. According to my salesman, it's still in D1 status. He says it has an estimated shipping date of 7/16, which apparently, only he can see.

Why can't the Jeep tracking site just be accurate? How difficult can it be?
The tracking tool provided on this thread doesn't even show a build sheet or window sticker yet.

D1 is scheduled to be built. Shipping date of 7/16 will be the date the body or frame end up in the assembly plant to build the truck. The shipping date they get at this point is not when it's finished and put on a train or truck, it's when it will start the build process.
Your June 17th date is when it was put into the schedule after the parts/supplies were locked in.
So, it will start the journey down the line on the 16th, it will likely have a final build date a couple of days after that, then the build sheet will be available, and then IF you ordered sill protectors, hard top headliner, etc. it goes to the body vendor. If you didn't order anything that requires a trip back to the body vendor, then it's likely done.
So far, that site is accurate for your truck. It hasn't started the actual assembly process in the Jeep plant, and you can't get a build sheet until it's assembled in that plant.

Your truck should be finished the first half of next week. Then it will sit in the lot until shipped - depending on where it's going, either train or truck. If by train, then it goes to a rail yard and is off-loaded to truck once a truck is lined up for final delivery.

Thanks for the insight. None of that was explained to me, but makes perfect sense now. Fingers crossed that you are correct about the body/frame delivery. I don't think I added anything that would send it back to the body vendor.

We are very close together on this run down the gauntlet. I have a “build” date of 7/20.

Where did you get your "build date" information?
From my dealer. It’s actually called a “ship” date. But in reality, it has been presented as a blend date, where the body and frame are matched on the assembly line. So I call it a “build” date. Yours is 7/16. It’s a very confusing system.
