If there isn’t some blood and a bit of swearing, what fun would it be.

Safety?
My knuckles are beat all to hell and my front bottom teeth have been replaced by a competent dentist. I have a 4 inch scar running down my right wrist because I was a damn fool in my 20's (1989).
At this point in my life I don't even trust a raisin bran fart.

SAFETY?
These days I use a 4 post lift. Best few k I ever spent.

He'll be asking me "what the **** were you thinking",
and I'll have to answer - I wasn't......

Ask my wife about the fellow, I believe he was a cousin, or at least a husband of a friend, my wife knew when she was growing up. This fellow was in his driveway working under his truck.
They had a little daughter I believe my wife, Barbara, said was about 3 at the time.
Mommy tells the daughter go out and tell daddy it's time for dinner.
Little girl returns and tells mommy daddy is sleeping and won't answer me.
You know the rest. The way my wife describes it, it's a scene that would have made me sick for days.
I just have this thing about that sort of thing. Too many times I don't think or pay attention to what's around or close by, but that is one thing II spend a lot of time on.

Holy XXXX batman! That's a chunk of iron to be tossing that distance!
I guess pain and reflexes can make people Olympians!
My backyard and tree line wasn't that far.. then or for that matter now :like: the tree line behind my old house probably has a few POS tools in there due to failure. ;)
It damn sure didn't help having a screwed up shoulder even then. ? in part due to being a M60 machine gunner for 2-3 years and all the other Infantry stuff for over 15 years.

There was all of the above. Thank God for Crazy Glue!
My wife wonders why I always make sure I have a fresh tube of the stuff. But then in the winter, my fingers literally split on the ends. There's nothing that helps. I've tried everything medical and everything quack and everything Granny (Jed's mother-in-law) might have tried. Super glue is the only solution until spring.

Most of us just don't think of those other possible side-effects of serving.

I would have to have a hell of an arm to make it to any tree line from my garage.
Not quite so far from my shop, but getting a 24" pipe wrench over the 27' roof of my shop would be a feat in itself.
I'm standing just outside the wooded west edge of our yard for this pic, facing east.

Does tactical med evac's "wheeled and air craft" count but for other reasons. ?
To talk about stupid luck I stepped on my wood deck few weeks back got tripped by 4 legged self propelled trip hazards going to grill. Slamming into 12in ceramic tile it broke my fall breaking on impact cutting a gash on left knee.

The quantity at my place varies daily.... but out side only. Being I live in edge of N.F. and farm land people dump off cats.

But the advantage is less rat n mice problems with them. A tip to anyone females are the "mouser's not males more so.

25 years ago, after shoveling my 155' driveway, I came inside and my wife asked me-
"Why did I see the snow blower go by the kitchen window?"
'Because it had to go that high to clear the fence (8 foot stockade)'
