UPDATE- As I don't have a bunch of photos, I thought I would add the Gladiators I saw at the Sand Sports Super Show at the Orange County Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, Calif. Sept 16th-18th in this thread. Click here to jump to that post.

I was fortunate enough to attend the King of the Hammers race in Johnson Valley, CA for the last 10 days, and thought I would post photos of some of the attendees, vendors, and sponsors' Gladiators I saw at this event. I'll just post one (or two) of each, and then later post some more detailed photos of cool ideas, features, and equipment. If I know who the sponsor/vendor is, I'll add that and comments when doing those 'extra photos'.

The fine print. All photos were taken by me and may be used, posted, etc without any future consent. I have no relation with any owners, vendors, sponsors, companies, influencers, etc. And please forgive that some photos have 'blurry spots', my camera was not too happy with 10 days of dust.

What's with the photo blurring effect. it makes it difficult to actually see components etc.
"And please forgive that some photos have 'blurry spots', my camera was not too happy with 10 days of dust"
There are times in Hammertown that you can not see the end of your hood, so delicate equipment sometimes revolts.
"and then later post some more detailed photos of cool ideas, features, and equipment"
I took a lot of detailed component photos for not only myself but to share, so those will follow. Most of the vendors/sponsors are running King or Fox shocks that would plug up the secondary guns of a WW2 battleship. 37s are the 'new normal' with 40s and 42s being the go-to tire size. There were lots of innovative ideas that some were running and some racers that had cool ideas for their pit/tow Gladiators.

Hey sorry, I assumed this was something you had done in Lightroom for effect :)

I work as a photographer, looks likes your sensor is either covered in oil, or has become somehow dislodged from the circuitboard and is no longer aligned with lens elements.

Search for a wet sensor cleaning kit, pm me I can walk you through it.
My apologies.

Jeep Gladiator Gladiators at the King of the Hammers (Update - Gladiators at the S.S.S.S. Sept '22) parasol deployable wing

Pff. Didn't even get mine. ;)
I actually took some photos of your rig, but King of the Hammers security showed up and made me delete them from my camera as you had the super-secret parasol deployable wing out, that all the Trophy Trucks and Ultra4s will be running next year, and no one is supposed to know about those. ?

This JT was at the Buggy Whips booth. Massive King suspension, 42s, full roll-cage, interior with suede leather, 12" screen, etc.

And while not a Gladiator, this is one BIG Jeep! (That is a full-size pickup to its right)

THANKS! Besides the hammers, I visited 5 aviation museums (1300+ photos) in Cal. when I was on this trip, and of course, a lion's share of those have the 'blurred effect'. I'll send you a PM.

Focus is your friend not your enemy
Point and Shoot camera, so not an option. Ya, not the best camera, but it's better to have the camera that slips into your pocket, than the SLR back at camp that I don't want to get messed up from all the dust.

A few more

Three guys flew out from Ohio and rented this Gecko Gladiator in Las Vegas. Some nice add-ons for a 'rental car' with 35s, bumpers, winch, etc. I'm sure the owner was expecting his car to be cruising up and down Las Vegas Boulevard and not out in the Johnson Valley desert :giggle:

I really like this non-vendor JT. The owner builds race cars (the one to the right) and was out supporting the driver. He makes a lift kit for Rubicon and Mojave fenders that raises them about 1-1.5" so 37s can be run with no suspension lift. Part of that kit was new inner liners that were extremely nice, with collared attachment points and embossed logos. The kit also spaces the fenders out a very small amount, but just enough to get rid of the super-tight fender-to-body crease where all the little junk sticks.
His front bumper has the winch mounted upsidedown so it has a very clean look and less restricted airflow to the radiator.

In addition a very cool rear bumper, that raised the hitch about 6-8" for lots of additional departure angle.

I liked all the aluminum bit on the Nemis Gladiator. The raw aluminum sure looks good, especially for normally 'heavy' bumpers.

The fenders blended very well to the side panels

And the inner liners had a great fit for the upgraded Falcon shocks
