Do you know it's fake? The vents on the Rubi are functional, pretty sure the scoop on the Mojave is functional.
Might want to open you hood and poke your head under there.

And look at some of the wind tunnel Jeep vids. A picture is worth...?

Sorry, dude, the Mojave hood scoop is about as functional as Bing Crosby's colon.

Excellent thank you!
Does leave it open to speculation that there might be some kind of Mopar kit coming out in future, as it would have been simple to just have once piece. I’m planning on opening mine up when my Mojave shows up, thinking if nothing else it might help put some cooler air under hood and also push heat down and out better......Jack

And allow rain water to wash down some of those important electrical thingies as well? Still not buying into the air scoop after watching the smoke wand in the tunnel vids. It is YOUR ride after all. Enjoy it however you wish.

I would just buy the Sport with the max tow, and lift with tires. Still cheaper than the upscale stuff I do not want.

The Rubicon vents is an old discussion and they do function...I'm not an idiot. I've had mine almost a year, 25,000+ miles and plenty of wrench time on modifications and driving (this is not my first Jeep or experience with vehicles)...While maybe not a legitimate vented hood the way an aftermarket vent may be after you cut your steel, the Rubicon vents do function just as the side vents do. Benefit to their function??? Who knows...

Really didn’t notice how much higher the Mojave hood is until it was pointed out in another thread about cowl light mounts not working. Starts right at the front above the grill it is higher to start , you can also see it at the latches, and the cowlings are higher and windshield hinge is almost flush. So there is more room under the hood from front to back, it is not just a scoop put in hood. Changing the hood will require a couple more parts at least the cowlings.
My wife noticed it more on the test drives then I did, I just assumed it was the scoop.....Jack

Mojave hood has been reported to be much heavier, has been a post by a member that his Mojave hood is steel, he did the magnet test, my first thought was that suck's, but Mojave/ Rubicon total weights are real close, and while driving my Ford F-250 Lariat company truck with all aluminum body , and aluminum hood dented by Pennsylvania acorns abd walnuts I think perhaps not a bad thing after all!.....Jack
