Pedal monster and MRTUNE transmission tune. the transmission tune can be flashed to TCM via a PG3 handheld. so easily revert back. and the pedal monster will give you that feel of more power at stock tune. easiest way to do what your looking for.

You guys with the GDE tune. I know alot of dealerships will flash the ECUs with the latest updates. Do you tell them not to do this?
I checked with GDE and asked about software updates after the Z96 recall started rolling out and they said that FCA has "disbanded their calibration team for the EcoDiesel" so they aren't expecting any new software to come out since they cancelled the EcoDiesel for the JL and DT. I also have a Tazer and the SGW is sitting in my console because I did not swap it over to the new speaker housing when I installed my Quart Stage 6 so I am pretty sure they won't be able to talk to my Jeep without me swapping a few things over....

Anyone running water methanol injection with a GDE tune? Hell, is anyone running water methanol injection on a gen3 ecodiesel on this forum? I'm curious what your results are, and if you recommend. From my limited research, that would lower EGTs, lower particulate matter (less regens), and decrease air/fuel charge temps (reducing EGR wear/soot clogging). That in combo with a green diesel tune might be Shangri La for this rig... Thoughts? Comments?

If someone near Orlando has a banks adapter, 37s, factory gears, and wants to line em up, I'm game.
Other than that, the above specs get me about 8 second 0-60 pulls.
Been running the GDE tune on my JLURD since March. Running 37" KO2's with Mopar lift and getting 23 mpg and 0-60 in less than 6 if I launch it at 3k rpm in 4 hi. Unlimited giggles every time I do that.....

Awesome. I get continuous feedback because she has a ‘21 that isn’t tined. Still getting 22-24 on 37’s.
Do you have the engine breaking (braking)!! feature ? Did you end up doing a stock ecu as well ?

I did not get the engine breaking feature but I did get the engine braking feature. ?. I was not able to get another ecu at the time and just didn’t get around to it.

I am but haven’t really experimented for power gains. I ran a single low flow nozzle in my afe intake pipes to try to reduce IAT.

I have found that the engine has a throttle plate in the intake tract that closes on shifts and other times. Same with the butterfly swirl valves.

When methanol is spraying it causes a pretty big stumble. I think if you were in Canada with no emissions you could remove the intake for the banks and remove the throttle body. Then water methanol could be sprayed. As of now for boost cooling the engine tuning is too unpredictable. More to come in summer time.

I have the banks derringer and there’s really no -60 difference with larger tires. With stock tires it helped a bit but the ecu and transmission have some kind of torque limiting in 1st and second that bleed off boost. With larger tires this is less noticeable as the first gear is taller letting the ecu put some power down before the shift. That’s why larger tires on a diesel don’t need regearing like a 3.6l does.

There’s better discussions on fb groups with more freedom of speech fyi.

No concerns on warranty work? Does the braking!!!! Feel like a real drag?

Huh, I didnt know about the swirl valves and butterflies, tell me more...could this be something to remove? does is have a TPS like a gas engine or just some kinda air intake limiter...

I work at the dealership so I will get the benefit of the doubt. The braking works when the RPM is over 2500 and it is noticeable.

Going all in on the GDE hot tune tomorrow. I'll keep the forum posted. Still running stock 33 falken wildpeak mud terrains, but may upgrade to 35s or 37s at some point when these wear out. Would like to switch to all terrain KO2s because I do about 80 percent freeway/surface roads, and 10-20 percent offroad.

Long story short they do whatever they want ? they close and open as they feel like it.
