As others have said you can sell it and invest the money to buy a new one when you get back. Interest rates right now are no way close to inflation rates so it will, more than likely cost you more out of pocket than what you got on the sale. Unless you get just the right buyer you won't get the cost of the parts you added to the Jeep. But you won't be paying storage costs.

Putting it in storage costs money, and you are going to want insurance on the jeep incase something happens while it is in storage. Depending on the laws in your state you will probably save money on insurance and registration. If you put it in storage make sure you keep up on the storage costs. You don't want them selling your Jeep just because you missed a payment.

If you have a friend or family member watch it for you than you want to make sure they are reliable.

What you have not sad is why you are going over seas and for how long. If you are in the military there are laws that apply to you that can be very helpful. And if you are not in the military than it makes it a lot easer for the storage place to sell of your truck. I hope this gives you something to think about. Good luck and keep us informed.
