Are you going to be able to mod the company Gladiator? If not, keep yours for nights and weekends and drive theirs stock for work.

I had a company car for five years and kept my personal vehicle so I could do I wanted to with it.

As far as price, KBB is a good starting point but varies a lot on where you are and what the availability is there.

I know OP said "buy", but just double checking they aren't leasing. I like the idea of them buying yours out if they'll do it. Otherwise, part the mods and sell! If they buy and it's truly yours, that cash in hand could make for one hell of a build. BTW, if they're buying you a vehicle, I assume there's a lot of required travel for your new role?
Yep, probably upwards of 40-50 a year once things start getting busy.

I kinda asked about the purchase from me thing and it sounds like the preference is to buy new? Not sure whether it’s a APR or tax based decision? I purchased mine in oct of 2019.

Yea KBB kinda sucks, an example is there’s no way you can add the max tow package, which in turn undervalues me right from the start...

Glad you got a new gig, sorry about your truck. I like my resto for now but there are guys out there like me looking for exactly what you have so it'll sell. Sounds like you have it figured out and it's a no-go with the new company. But if there's any wiggle room have them make your payments or stipend you. Figure out why they offer a new vehicle but not vehicle payments first. My 2c

My Ridgeline is like that, kbb does not show the RT with AWD. But typically it is a good starting place.

Gotcha. Sell it Bro and upgrade on their dime.
Wouldn't sweat the selling price since your getting a new one for free.

Keep us posted.

Used prices are still up I think. This could be a great opportunity to sell and not get beaten having to trade. You might try contacting Carvana To see what they will offer.

Why Rubi over Mojave? Just curious.
From what I’ve seen it’ll be hard to get a Mojave for under 45, plus I will at times be hauling some heavy stuff and I heard the Mojave suspension isn’t the best for loads?

I paid close to 40 OTD, because I don’t have to pay sales tax. Maybe 1800 in mods. I bet I can trade in the warranty for around 900, so considering I had it for 1.5 years and 13k miles, If I get 39-40 I’ll have done good!

I had a company in the past pay me a monthly Stipend for me to use my own vehicle of 300 per month, and a fuel card for all gas and maintenance. Just an idea, ask them if they offer it.

While a gas card is great, 300 a month isn’t a lot considering insurance, repairs, maintenance, especially depreciation if doing a lot of miles....

I should have mentioned it was a 98 Jeep TJ that I bought used for 6k, The 300.00 per month ended up going towards a paint job and mods since fuel and maintenance were already covered.

Lots to unpack here...

What kind of annual mileage are you going to be driving? I think that is the first issue that you have to work around. Balance that with your actual personal mileage outside of work...

Really surprised they are not leasing -- most companies do that with corporate cars. Are you stuck with the same vehicle for what period of time?

The stipend plus gas card isn't a bad way to go -- particularly if your company car policy disallows things like bike racks, explicit use for company business, disallowing your spouse/son/daughter driving, etc. You may be able to negotiate this.

You are not likely going to find a JTR at that price point. Bare bones list is $43K.

Good luck.
