I even consider the JL to be a truck. When I went in the Army, the Jeeps we drove were technically, based on nomenclature, "Truck 1/4 ton, utility" according to the data plate and the TM.
Since the Jeep has evolved since then, one could argue either way, but I have to laugh when someone ties to correct me when I call my Jeep a truck.
