Hi Folks, love to shoot and have a nice size collection...
Just got my Mojave 3 weeks ago, absolutely love it, a joy to drive. Only slight "disappointment" is the size of the so called "lockable storage" which can be unbolted and carried also. Anticlimactic given the ta-do they made in the press about it. Why, kinda small, I was hoping I could at least transport a pistol or two in it (if not a rifle), no dice, not even close, just too narrow.
In NJ, unfortunately, all firearms' need to be locked up in a trunk, or an interior spot (which doesn't include the glove box). Or you have to put a lock on the trigger for each firearm in tow.
Don't want to bother with lock and key, so the space left to me is the Truck Bed which does lock like a trunk.
So my question for those of you who carry firearm's (rifle pistol) in the truck bed, what means are you Guys using to tie them down in the bed (to make sure they don't move)?
I also have heavy steel target plates which also need to be secure in the bed from moving.
I am new to Jeep and new to Trucks too (first one) so any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
-Joe
