Gun Rack. Overhead v. Vertical?

Anyone have a gun rack mounting system they like and use? Looking for a 2 - Rifle system. WPNGEAR has a nice rack but am looking at options and feedback. Thanks!

A gun rack is nice, both vertical and roof mount are available, vertical is easy access but can be expensive, plus where will you mount the rack? A vertical police department rack is not cheap, the weapon is in visual range and may be temping to be stolen. A roof mount is not visually to people, security is not good on a roof rack, plus if you use a sling it will dangle down and be in your way. Police departments carry tactical weapons in the trunk. The gladiator not having a trunk makes you punt on storage. I have found a sbr with a 12 inch barrel with maximum defense stock can be stowed away if you experiment with location. If you live in Chicago i may understand the need for a long gun close by. I carry my hand gun to get me to my long gun and gear. Note the pocket behind the right rear passenger seat will hold a tactical pack of six mags very nicely.

But really for the question, I just put the case behind the rear seat in that little slot/cubby hole. I have one of the thin Plano boxes and it's a perfect fit for shorter stuff.

I installed a vertical, adjustable rifle rack in the back corner behind the drivers seat. However I dont have rear seats. I mounted it to the seat bolts and seatbelt bolt.

By the way, I have a black towel that the wife sewed the corner over. I put it over the muzzle and the rifle disappears. Also have tinted windows.

I'm sure you can get a rifle to fit nicely behind the backs of the rear seats. And they are lockable.
