Hauk Engine Skid Plate?

Thinking about ordering the Hauk Off-road bare metal engine skid plate, but can't find any info about it. I have a 3" lifted JTR and want to make sure it's a good product and it fits.

I've got an engine and t-case skid sitting in my shop right now, hopefully getting installed this week.

My initial impression is very good, solid parts and good design. We'll see how the install goes.

Heavy goes both ways, but I’m glad to hear it’s a solid product. I ordered it last week in bare metal (any pointers on painting it?). Do you remember how long it took to arrive. 4wp said 6-8 weeks?

I picked mine up from hauk. As far as painting it's gonna get scratched so just prime and color of choice

That's the T case and the engine skid. You cannot fit the engine skid without the TCase skid or an adapter (I assume the sell one since you can order just the engine skid.

Also note: the come with gladiator and wrangler mounts for the front of tht engine skid, so you'll have extra parts; and you need to remove the two OEM cross members.

I use Rust-Oleum self etching then Rust-Oleum bed liner. It's easy to touch up and definitely going to find rocks.

Kenny and his team make great armor, a little pricey, but solid and quality. Riding in this customer build through every trail in Moab sold me on the JL/JT platform after hating my JK.

Thanks for the pic. I’m installing mine and the instructions are terrible. I didn’t get the right amount of bolts. Pretty upset @Hauk​

Interesting, I got wildly too much hardware, like they only had a kit for the full set including the fuel tank skid.
