Help me find the perfect awning? Or does it not exist?

I’m looking for an awning with a priority on ease of use but will also fit on my racks that don’t go above the roof so 5’ or so in length closed to avoid overhang—or even one that is shorter I could put on the back so it’ll extend over the tailgate.

That one is 8’ long which won’t fit on my bed. It’ll hang over 3’ unless I swap out my rack system or add a new one to the roof.

Not sure how to address the lower height but if you want to be sure it fits the bed you need to look at the shorter options.

No problem. Though I'll have roof height I plan to also use it for cover for my one person tent when not using a RTT.

Just keep the poles at their lowest height and it provides cover when getting in and out when it's raining.

Super easy, can set it up anywhere and use it where my truck can't be parked. Takes up barely any room in the bed.

I like this idea as I can use it independently of my truck. I have a RTT so I can leave this so people know I’m camped there.

Unfortunately I do not have a picture of it, there are a bunch of pictures online though. It’s not attached to the truck, which is actually nice. Half the time when you go to a camp ground, there is like barely room to slide out my RTT. Nice to be able to position it.

I run a Slumberjack Roadhouse. Much more versatile than the fixed awning. I either run it off the truck or trailer...so far no issues.
