Hoping someone has some advice. When I built my jeep, I upgraded to the OEM LED lights. It’s less than 5 years old, but the halo portion of the rear LED taillight went out. It’s a sealed component and the dealer is trying to charge $1400 to replace. Is there an easy after market swap that I can do? Not willing to give jeep $1400 just because they did a horrible job designing the light. It should be a $20 bulb change.

It's not, but you can buy the unit on eBay.

The title of the thread mentions headlight, but in the thread you say it's your taillight.
@ORACLElights have flush taillights.

Are the oracle an easy install if you have the preexisting LED lights?
Yes. Easy as any Gladiator taillight.

Dealers love to rip people off. It also should not be a $20 bulb change because there not a bulb. It's a sealed unit with a circuit board. A new tail light is less than $400 and they are super easy to replace.

Let me guess,

Diagnostic fee $$$
Replacement fee $$$
Part itself $$$
Recycling fee $
Taxes $$
I can see $1400. And that is why I hate the dealerships.

I have Oracle tail lights. I think they look far better than the OEM LEDs.

Retired. Beach bum.
My Gladiator came with LED’s everywhere but head and fog, plus front turn and DRL. Their in the rear due to I also have adaptive cruise control that works very well, especially in bumper to bumper at slow speeds to high, just set the desired distance and follow the vehicle in front safely. The only trouble is leaving too much or just barely enough room for some mutt to cut in, that force the brakes on HARD! So I set mine as close as possible and pay close attention for aggressive driving mutts in front in the left or right lanes. If I had to replace one at dealers price? I would think very highly about the Oracle at what seems like 1/4 the $$$!

You lost the $20 bulb option when you opted for LED lights. I don’t think Jeep designed a bad tail light. You don’t hear about problems with them.

I’d find a used OE light and put it on myself.

Find a used taillight. I wish I'd never wasted money on the Oracle crap and now I'm looking for a deal on a pair of used OE tails.
How long did hit your Oracle tail lights last?

6-months and a grand total of 3,000 miles. My Jeep lives in my garage and as the miles imply isn’t a daily driver. The reverse likes flicker on and off as they please.
Also, the reverse lights are way too bright. Everyone in the parking lots hate you as they are blinding. Great when off-road. Add in the fact that they flicker and I’ve had people literally cuss me out.

Outside of the sale that just ended, forum members can always use code GLADIATOR10 to save money on their orders! Always happy to help with any questions as well.
