Definitely go thru the fender. Much easier and less of a chance that you will cause other problems. Charge the new battery before installation unless you have a lot of faith in the supplier. I would delete the AUX battery and pull the F42 fuse.

Thanks all! Internet has been horrible down here. But yes, got the batteries and got them installed. The first shop tried to take advantage of me being a foreigner with a ridiculously jacked up price. I took my batteries and told them I was going elsewhere which I did. Got both batteries for half the price and got them installed.

Everything is operational except my key fob for my viper alarm unpaired and I can't seem to get it to pair even with the YouTube videos that explain it. So I have to try and figure this out still.

My next order of business is our new Solar Panels. That install is starting tomorrow. We're still here in Peru waiting on our TIP (Temporary Import Permit) to be unsuspended so that we can continue to explore this country.

Again, appreciate all the advice and assistance. Y'all came through clutch. ~ Eric

Be cautious! If you don't already have an export permit you may not be allowed to leave with your truck. This happened to a friend of mine with his motorcycle. He ended up selling it before returning to the US.

Just as an aside, he got the TIP this week and traveling south again!! All is well, battery install went well (he went in via fenderwell) and the shop he was parked at in Lima Peru appears to be good folks for Overlanders to get work done / stay as needed.
