Driving down the road, hear a “plop” and notice this thing sitting on top of the passenger front speaker grill.

I’ve owned it since new, never saw anything hanging from the windshield or up behind the visor. Any idea what this is?

Jeep has a tendency to slap that plastic film with a tacky pliable adhesive on connectors, wire harness tight spots, kind of an anti-Chaf pad that self adheres. Look on your front end passenger side some of the bolts close to the harness have those.

Any idea where I can buy that stuff? I could use Permatex silicone but those pads are really convenient.

Well, looked all around and there are wires along the top of the windshield, but they seem to be protected adequately so I guess this was just an extra piece that was stuffed somewhere and wiggled out 🤷‍♂️

Funny you have this happen the same location, and month I have it happen. Yours is in better shape then the one that plopped on my dash.

My visors don't have any power, is there something else up between the windscreen and roll cage?
Did you put it back up?

I can feel wiring up there, but it's all wrapped in wire-wrap. Nothing seemed exposed in any kind of dangerous way (or anything that seemed like it would flex/move and cause a pinch point). I tossed it in my glove box and went about my day 🤷‍♂️

Found them!

I watched some videos of how to fold down the windshield and voila - these little patch things, with the plastic still attached, are between the bottom of the windshield and the cowl when it folds up. It's hit or miss if they're also at the top of the windshield (probably because they fall off!)

I’m going with Flux Capacitor Weather Shield. If that thing falls off don’t go into Hyper Drive!!!!! Power steering pump goes up in flames and your rear locker will fail to turn off!!! And even worse, the rear window starts to leak. I’m tellin ya that is a VITAL COMPONENT!!!!!!!
