I did a regear 2 years ago from the stock 3.73s to 4.88s at a local shop. They provided a Tazer mini with the install and set everything up. Over the last 6 months I've noticed that the speedo was drifting from the GPS when using google maps and other gps apps and was approaching a 3mph difference - GPS being slower than the truck reads.
Today while sitting in my car during my daughter's doctors appointment I got on youtube to figure out how to open the tazer settings thinking that maybe I should adjust the tire size due to wear from driving about 30,000 miles since the regear and that may fix the inaccuracy. To my surprise the gear ratio was set to 4.10 not 4.88 that was installed!
I have updated this, but my question is what issues could this have caused? Will the recorded mileage on the odometer be off? Anything else I need to push back on or be concerned with?
Thanks in advance.
