I always feel bad for the people who get all worked up about MPG discussions in regard to jeeps.
I don't understand why anyone would be upset about it. Where does the "if you don't do what I do in my jeep with your jeep; then you're dumb and you shouldn't have the thing that I have" mentality come from?
I can enjoy seeing what I can get out of my diesel wrangler, and I can enjoy just driving it and not caring about MPG. I'm certainly not going to track MPG when I'm offroad but when I take my 4+ hour highway trips, or when I commute to work every day for 3 weeks then yeah, I'm going to notice what my MPG is.

I'm super excited to get a gladiator, and I don't care what MPG I get out of it, but it's still something I'm going to track, along with general cost of ownership(maintenance, repairs). And if I'm pumping out 17mpg, then maybe I'm going to be impressed and if I post that on a thread like this, I don't see why anyone would care to poo poo all over it.

My fiancé is averaging 19.4 with her commutes to Boston. We’re on 35s and have small hills where we live, so I’m pretty impressed.

I drive to north shore from western mass a lot. My picture was my average from the last 8k miles, but a trip from my house to southern maine is where it hit the highest so far.

I dont get it either, some day mine will be lifted and hopefully driven on some trails(not easy where i live). Right now its my work vehicle, i want something ok on gas, with a truck bed, and the roof and doors come off. It seems to do everything i want.

I just picked up a new stock Mojave. Been babying it a lot and only at about 150 miles but currently sitting at 12mpg. Traded a full size hemi ram to save a bit on gas….. (insert nervous laughter)

I expect the Mojave will get pretty bad mileage with the axles and gearing it's got. I think there's something weird going on with airflow under it as well. I can't really find a good picture but there's a nice sized gap between the front bumper and the skid plate they're using to protect the shock reservoir. I'm no engineer but I wonder if it would be causing the air to direct in a way that's causing additional drag.

It's wouldn't stop me from getting one though. They look fun

I think the tires they have kill mpgs too. I put them on my last gladiator sport s max tow and i lost 2 to 3 mpg vs 33 ko2s.

24.1 Highway, 2020 Sport on stock wheels and tires with the 8 spd auto and 4.10 gears. Down AND back to Tennessee.

Now with 35s since 10K miles, I get 20+ on the big highway and average 17-18+ around town.

Just hit 70K miles. Stock exhaust and intake. I also removed the air dams (upper bumper) at 10K when I installed the 35s and 2 inch Mopar lift.

When it was bone stock I got around
20 city, 25-26 highway at 65mph
Since I switched the wheel and tires from the 245-75r17 to BFG KO2 285-70r17's
I get 18-19 city and 20 highway
The new tires and wheels added quite a bit of weight.

2023 Max Tow, 1000 miles and stock. Do a lot of highway driving at 75mph (usually do closer to 80, but brought it down to 75 to help with gas). If I do more in town then it’s closer to 17. Highway is closer to 16. Have doors and top off, though. obviously not a big sample size since I was following the break in recommendations. Not sure that is normal or not reading this thread!

While I never really worry about MPG, it is kind of fun to see how it can change depending on speed, distance, etc...

My average so far is between 18.8-19.5, which I'm more than happy with.

Last week I spent a lot of time cruising under 65 MPH and got 22 MPG for a full tank. I bet if I stuck closer to 55 mph in 4th gear I'd get 23-24.
