Just going to list averages.Was wondering if anyone has 37's on there Gladiator, what there MPG is.
Is the diesel motor better then the 3.6

Yeah diesel fuel has been pricey lately, unfortunately. Similar to you though, I bought it for the torque (and range, to be honest -- not the cost).Ditto.
3.0L diesel
Factory 3.73 gears
37" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs
AEV Borah wheels
2" Mopar lift
Factory steel bumpers with winch in front
Soft top
19 mpg around town, 20 if I try hard
23 mpg highway average, with 55-65 mph as the sweet spot (24-25 mpg there)
Of course, can't say the price of diesel fuel makes the cost-per-mile very friendly, but I got this engine for the trail torque
So far, I'm at 52K and loving every mile.
Sorry to briefly highjack ... Funny, I'm planning Florida to Arizona (and beyond) this spring. Let me know if you have any tips on places to stop.Yeah diesel fuel has been pricey lately, unfortunately. Similar to you though, I bought it for the torque (and range, to be honest -- not the cost).
I've only got 17k on mine, you've got 3x on me! Doing a few trips from AZ to FL this year so that help me catch up ha.
Will do! Going to do a big trip in March before Moab (EJS) likely. Not looking forward to the initial I-10 mania drive where it's basically 4 turns from Phoenix to Sarasota because you're on I-10 for 2000 miles.Sorry to briefly highjack ... Thank you so much..I have a 2018 wrangler unlimited Sahara that I might be trading, and the gladiator was dieselIf I really try, the best I get is 23 on the highway going around 67 (the sweet spot). Otherwise, according to the computer (not hand calculated), I usually average around 19.5-20 with mixed driving. I should also note, I regeared to 4.10 gears. Not bad for an overweight Jeep motorhome.
I also didn't purchase the diesel for the fuel mileage, I wanted the torque of the motor and after 40k miles, I couldn't be happier.
Do you feel like the 4.10s were enough, or do you wish you went to a 4.30 or 4.56?If I really try, the best I get is 23 on the highway going around 67 (the sweet spot). I am happy with the performance. 4.56 would be too much and 4.30s weren't available. I think Nitro only ran one batch of 4.30 gears which I would have gone with because of the weight of my Jeep. If your Jeep isn't heavy, then not sure the gear change is really necessary with the diesel. Or just keep an eye out for take-out 4.10s from a gasser upgrading gears.Do you feel like the 4.10s were enough, or do you wish you went to a 4.30 or 4.56?
Did you install the apex yourself? Is it a hard job? Thank youJust going to list averages.
3.73's.
37" BFG KO2
stock wheels.
4 1/2" of lift.
OEM steel bumper group w/ Winch and front bumper end caps removed.
City = 19.
Highway = 23.
LOVE my ecodiesel. It doesn't care too much about tire weight. Even in Moab running 40's I'm still like 19-20 mpg highway if I keep it to 65-70. I haven't had a single desire to regear. I *did* add the Apex steering boost, which helped quite a bit when aired down in the rocks. It's no PSC, but it helps enough to be happy.
You get the torque of the 392 with double the fuel range. It's wonderful.
