A friend of mine asked for my help selling his 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon "Launch Edition". He custom-designed it for a client who couldn't take it because of COVID-19. He's asking my advice on how he should price it. I've seen prices anywhere from $90K-$120K. He even put together a video on it. But I'm not sure what to tell him. It looks (and rides) amazing but I'm recommending under $100K since it has 3600 miles on it. What do you think is a realistic price for something like this?

.
Nice truck...but come on. I have put 15k of extras into mine... paid 41k and I bet it could be sold for 45k if i was lucky. I like mine better anyway.

I have to agree with everyone here. I have a loaded rubicon that has everything the pain edition has except the front camera and paid $52k for it and have since added a lift, tires, bumper, winch and a bunch of steering parts. I assume it’s worth at most $55k now and I think it looks much better than this one. If I was offered $75k I would sell mine in a second. Good luck.

Thanks! I am really excited, been driving a g wagon for the past year, but need something to haul my dog back and forth from training. So glad to find something that didn’t make me feel sad to transition to.

launch edition only had I think badging and a bluetooth speaker that's about it that I remember.
Also from everything I know the difference between it and a loaded Rubicon is a badge on the tailgate and the dash trim off the overland?
I like my LE, but there really isn’t anything special about it In stock form.
For me, getting one of the 419 Canadian Jeep Gladiator Launch Edition was the way to get a Rubicon with all the options available factory installed and at a fair price at the time that I bought it.

It was including everything (except the soft top that I didn’t want) from the LEDs to the full security group with adaptive cruise, including bed lining and 110V, metal bumpers, proximity keyless entry, body color fender and top with headliner, etc.

The two arguments from my wife were: "Get this one if you promise me you’ll not add anything else... and this leather dashboard with red stitching is so classy!"

I was finally allowed to add a CB and an extinguisher!!!

[CONCLUSION: As having a Launch Edition base, the Jeep Gladiator of the first post of this thread is fully loaded with the factory / build sheet options that were available in 2019... The rest of the value in the future will be mainly sentimental for me...]

2009 JK RIPP / 2020 JT Gladiator LE Billet Silver
I bought my billet silver Launch Edition used with just over 5000 miles on it for 50k (that was dealer cost including auction fees and transportation). Added 10-15k in goodies to my taste consisting of lights, warn 10S winch, Fox lift, 37 inch tires, RockHard sliders, bed rack, Taser programmer, etc. LE’s sold 62,500. So the depreciation is a hit of about 12k. Just like any new vehicle. The JT is still really new to see how they fair on the market. It’s like the Wrangler so I’m certain it will retain its value just like the JK‘s do. Like many others said, it’s finding the right buyer! For example I sold my 2007 Chevy Tahoe with 205,000 miles in 2020 that had a few upgrades to a guy for $15,900.00. No bank would touch it, so the guy had to put up some bucks for a down payment. I almost felt guilty. Well almost! The guy drives my old Tahoe daily and loves it. The moral of this story, I would try selling it for $75k, it may take a bit to sell, but there is a buyer Out there that will want it And even more, will buy it. As far as selling for 100k, it needs a hemi, axle and gears to hit that number!
my current JT LE & my sold Tahoe. Love the JT!

Nice truck.

However after reading this thread, I realize people who post on the internet are nuts. This has nothing to do with your jeep.

Great thread. Lest we forget they orphan the tech on these autos, limiting the effective life cycle. So maybe a few JTs will survive, and they won't be worth money on the streets, except maybe to a collector ... Drive em daily, hard, and put em up wet! Here's the 'thing' of its day:

I have seen much nicer builds at SEMA that sell for 75K or less. My 2018 JKUR was an overland build for SEMA in 2019 and I was offered $75K to sell it on the floor. It is a lot more Jeep than the one your friend has for sale.
