I'm very anti-sticker. I'm not gonna buy your product and then advertise for you too. Fuck off with that nonsense. I've got boxes of brand stickers from various things.

But if you wanna give me stuff? Sure I'll slap your sticker somewhere.
Thats how it was when I did comp with my buggy .. only stickersMy club and Peeps that helped sponsor me

Yeah when I was drag racing, contingency stickers paid money. But slapping brand stickers on my every day ride? Nope.

I haven't put stickers on my vehicles since I was a teen. Even with all of the accessories on my Comanche, no stickers.

There was a huge fuss a few years back when AMO actually awarded a point for having their badge on the grill of your car in the show. Seriously? A point for advertising AMO on your grill? And if you have a 198 point (out of 200) car and the other guy has a 198 point car, he wins because he had the badge on the grill?
I won regardless (no one came close), but it was a big "principal of the thing" because you should be awarded points on the condition of the car and the work put into it, not a club badge. But it was their show, their rules. Not sure if they have since dropped that or not - I haven't showed in AMO for about 5 years - I got to the top - tired of trying and the fussing that goes with it.

There's one sticker that may go onto my new Jeep -

You think it's bad now.................. this is dealer advertising from 1952 - the visor mirror from Dad's 1952 Ford ->
Yeah. My late grandpa's 1969 Ford F100 has the dealership name that he bought it from stamped in the rear bumper.

Some were metal and like the factory badging, had pins that literally went into holes they made. Others were metal script and stuck on.
Today's stickers are easy - a hair dryer and a few minutes of time and they come right off.
I think I may have one of those metal badges from the 50s or early 60s. People gripe now - it was a whole lot worse way back when.

I remember that was pretty common through the 1980's on the lower trim base trucks because they were sold without a rear bumper or were not hitch capable. Cheapest dealer installed option was one with the dealers name stamped in it.

Back when trucks were bought for truck things and put to work.

Honestly I wish I was at the income level that I could pull the trigger and fire the parts cannon at one build sheet.
However I can say I'm at the point where all 4 tires on my car trailer match.
Hell, growing up I thought that matching tires at all 4 corners of your car was bougie

I'm not even brand loyal about having a Jeep, and I was one of the JT Launch Engineers lol.

Whatever is the best combination of cost and meeting my needs.

Interesting to see the poll results, very similar, but if you ask verbally, it's all, buy once cry once, only the finest, most expensive parts.
